It works with Pixel 8 phone
My first wireless charging pad. What took me so long to try one.The charging pad is supposed to be laying flat against the phone. The question was if the silly bump in back of the Pixel 8 that encloses the lenses, officially named the "Camera Bar," would get in the way of a wireless charging pad. "I thought" the lumpy Camera Bar would render a wireless charging pad inoperative, which is why I delayed purchasing one.Happy to say, this charging pad works fine and easy with the Pixel 8. When the edge of the charging pad slides up to within 1 inch of the Camera Bar lump, the wireless charging kicks in. Keep sliding closer to the lump, nudge the edge of the charging pad comfortably right up against the lump, and it continues charging. So that's a 1 inch range that this charging pad will work, which means that placement is not critical to get it charging. In fact, I just pushed the edge of the charging pad up and over the lump (which is 1/8 inch high?), and it kept charging, even though most of the pad had space between it and the back of the phone. In fact, the lump makes it easier to position the charging pad into position. Just nudge the pad up against the bump. So, nothing can go wrong go wrong go wrongA USB test meter shows that using the wireless pad, the wattage into the phone is only slightly less than if the charging cable goes straight into the phone's USB port. For instance, using an old 5V 0.5 amp (max) charger to charge the battery most gently, 3.4 watts go into the phone using the wireless charging pad. Connecting the USB cable direct to the phone's USB port, the wattage into the phone is 3.5 watts. So, a little loss using the charging pad, 3% less power using the charging pad, should equate into a charge taking a few extra minutes. Like, charging the phone with a cable into its USB port would take an hour; using the charging pad would take it an hour and a few minutes. The USB port has a limited number of insertion cycles, so it's better to use the charging pad.

Simple, easy, works
This did everything I needed. I wanted a wireless charger for next to my bed, to save wear and tear on my USB-C port, and also not have to worry about trying to disconnect the cable whenever I get a call while I'm in bed.My first attempt, when I bought a different wireless charger was a disaster. The charger worked but it had a bright blue light which made it totally impractical to have near my bed while sleeping. This charger on the other hand, has only a very very tiny pinhole light; no significant issue with ambient light while sleeping. The pad doesn't come with a wall-wart. I just used my phone charger and plugged it into the USB-C port on the wireless charger. Works great. The pad is smaller than other wireless charging pads, but in my case it works well since it's only slightly larger than my phone, it makes it easy to center the phone on the charger in the dark. One thing I didn't mess around with was trying to Fast Wireless Charge. I charge overnight, so I always use the slowest setting in order to generate less heat and be easier on the battery.Rubber feet on the bottom prevent the charging pad from slipping, and a soft surface prevents the charging pad from scratching my phone case. The wireless charging pad has no problem charging through my phone case.Overall, this did everything I needed for a good price and feels like a high-quality product.

Small and dim light
Items works as promised but the light to see if it is working is very small and not very bright.

Great value! Works great for Pixel 6 & 7 phones
I have been trying to find some reliable wireless chargers for my family's Pixel phones. We have a collection of Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 Pros. I wanted to switch to wireless charging because it's convenient and it puts less wear-and-tear on the USB-C port over the years.I bought one solution that allowed the phone to stand at a 45 degree angle while charging. This was nice because it allowed me to use the phone while it was charging. However, this solution would stop working at random times and this lead to a dead battery to start the day.I also tried the Anker pad which comes with its own power supply. This solution works reliably but it's more than 3x the cost of one of these NewQ pads. Granted it does come with a power supply. The NewQ pads don't come with a power supply. I am using the 30W USB-C fast chargers I got with my Pixel 2 many years ago. 2 pads for $20 seems like cheating. They are reliable and fast charge all our Pixel 6 and 7 Pros. The little white indicator light on the pad is great for checking if I placed the phone on the pad correctly. (Sometimes my aim is slightly off).

Did not work on iPhone 8
Worked for my wife’s iPhone 16. Does not charge my iPhone 8. The charging pad I had before worked on my iPhone 8 but it died and is no longer available.

Charger Took Power from Phone
Not only does the material the product is made out of look and feel cheap, the charger itself fails to magnetise to a iPhone with even a thin case making the connection loose. The iPhone recognises that it is on a charger but overnight my phone went from 60% to 18%: the charger actually took power out of my phone and wasted electricity.Between the waste of resources, the lack of product quality, and now having to rely on my original cable charger to clean up the mess: this “phone charger” is nothing short of unusable. The only use for this I can think of would be as a device to sabotage someone, and for $10 you’re better off just cutting their cords.
