MIZZOU CASTABLE PLUS - 55 lb. Bag

The only thing i didn't like was the curing time that is 1 week. When I had found another brand of mizzou that only has a curing time of 3 days. thats not a huge deal at all really so thats why i gave it 5 stars. I wish it would have came with some kind of instruction sheet or have something on there website but i was unable to find anything. This is good stuff tho I just casted a 55b bag about 3 days ago and still no cracking. I actually have a different name brand of mizzou on the bottom and this stuff on the top. I guess the difference didn't or should i say hasn't yet caused a problem. I will update this when i actually start putting 1000f heat on it.

It is a wonderful product. I cast my ribbon burner from it and lined my forge with it. It is withstanding welding heats and helps me out with the cost of gas because it holds on the heat well. I have actually been recommending it to everyone I know!

This worked well. I have a glass furnace that goes from ambient to 2200F. I used the castable in the door and it is working well. Prompt shipment as well.

obviously not standard cement which makes it a little harder to get the right consistency but that is not unexpected considering what is added to make this work as intended. very impressed with the first casting i made, its been several months since and i stored the leftovers, will be using it to make another casting soon and will update if i have significant issues

i used the mizzou to build a ribbon burner forge for blacksmithing. you can coat an entire round area if you are careful and let a bit of set up time pass. coat with an infra red coating and you are ready to go to work.

very durable. relatively easy to mold. I would buy it again when I need more.
