Fantastic book!
This book is incredibly fun! There are tons of recipes and lots of stories. Well put together like most NYT books. Would recommend for drink mixers and enthusiasts alike.

Overrated, bad index/toc, missing some basic cocktails
Not impressed with this book, its so overrated! It can be hard to find the recipes you are looking for as the way they decided to order things in the index is not great. They ordered and indexed mostly by type of alcohol! So if you want to find a recipe for a basil smash, you cant search basil smash but need to know its a gin based drink and then flick through the chapter for that kidn of alcoholic beverage until you find it. But wait, there is not even a chapter for gin based drinks. Ridiculous! Some basic classic cocktails you may expect to be in such a book are just not in there but they chose some unusual variant or not even that.Very little information on technique, tools etc. This book is annoyingly dumb, maybe its a nice gift to someone you dislike

Everyone needs this
It has just about every drink recipe you can think of. Another plus is that it is large enough to stand up on its on if you put it on your bar cart. Would recommend.
