A Christmas Carol - The Complete Novel with Annotations and Knowledge Organisers: for the 2026 and 2027 exams (CGP School Classics)

I purchased this for my son, who will be reading it pre-GCSE. It is not a long novella, and I think children in Year 10 or 11 can handle reading this type of short fiction on their own without an annotated version of the text. After all, the teacher will be discussing it later at school. At least that's my idea of how teaching should be. But while I'm unhappy about hand-holding children to this extent, that every bit of text has to be dissected for them, I do like how the book organises knowledge in response to this type of teaching. Anyway, this was school recommended and seems to do the job, while I would have preferred, if the school had said: 'Bring in your parents' copy of the book'.

Great book however the delivery driver was extremely rude to my mother. No greeting, abrupt behaviour, did not explain what he was doing as he had to go to and from the van multiple times (my order had many items). I understand drivers are under pressure to deliver items before a specific time however there is no excuse for rude behaviour. I order regularly so if I do see the same driver again I will share my opinion to him.
