The Land of Stories Complete Hardcover Gift Set

Gave this as a present to my sister after she lost several of the books she had collected over the years in a freak water incident in her apartment. She was extremely happy. The box was very nice and the six books were hardcover. She finally has a complete collection and the books are great! Good buy!

I purchased these books for my 11 year old who loves to read. I figured they would last her at least until Christmas Break...but no, she finished reading them all in a little under two weeks. She was so excited reading these books and keeping me updated on what was going on. She has me so excited listening and watching her excitement about the books that I will be reading them next. And looking for more books for her to read. There were a few parts that I had to have her go into more detail when she was explaining. Overall great books per my 6th grade. She definitely made me want to read every book.

My 10 year old is completely enraptured. He got the 4th book from school library then stopped and told me he really felt like he needed to start from the beginning. After devouring the 1st book he is onto the 2nd. He can’t stop talking about how talented Chis Colfer is! This is the first series/book that has motivated him to read unprompted every single night before bed.

We have read the first book together as a family, and the series was a Christmas gift that we were excited to keep the mysteriously, intriguing journey going! Great condition upon arrival, and great price!

A slightly twisted look a some fairy tales and that engages the reader and has them laughing out loud at times. This has been a huge hit with my grandchildren. They are starting to reread the books.

I purchased this set for my daughters 10th birthday. The books are all hardcover with a book jacket. All really well made & look beautiful. Highly recommend!

I ordered these as a donation from my children to my local small library as requests had been made for them and they were not part of the library's collection. My children have the hardcover set and LOVED these books! The entire series is AMAZING, well thought out, creative, and fun with lots of reference to our beloved fairy tales with great plot twists, historical and pop culture references and great vocabulary! Repeated readings over a 4 year period have worn the books but the hardcover has helped them stand up to the abuse of preteen readers. HOWEVER, I SPECIFICALLY ORDERED HARDCOVER due to the intended use and longevity of children's books in a library setting. I was disappointed to say the least but still gave them to the library expecting that they will maybe get 3-4 uses of each book before it needs replacing. Sadly, my cost reflected hardcover set and not a softcover set.

These books should be read by EVERY kids and adult! They are whimsical, imaginative and lovely!

Item arrived in great shape, it was delivered on time, and i loved it! the story is amazing, it moves fast, but not too fast, at a perfect rate.It has many plot twists and reveals ,one of the best .The coverwork is beautiful, exactly as described, the actual box the books were in, was also in good condition, it was stiff cardboard and not thin, so it wont get damaged easily.PS. don't flip to the last page of any of the books, because you could possibly ruin the whole story for yourself.
