I disagree with "heavy duty". The hose itself is medium duty and kinks easily. You can't have "heavy duty" and light weight. I would like to see a better quality hose worthy of these brass fittings. That said, the hose is also very flexible, light and easy to manage so it's a trade off.The good part: Solid chunk of brass for fittings! Can NOT be crushed! If you run over this, you better check your car tire for damage, not the hose! Uses a proper O-ring, not a cheap rubber washer. Inside diameter is huge. Good unrestricted water flow.Over all, can be better, but still amazing quality! Well worth the money!

That old saying, "you get what you pay for" is so true for this. Instead of buying a hose every year because they start falling apart due to sun damage or get super stiff I'm on year two of this Eley hose. Besides a little bit of fading it's holding up just fine. Not stiff, doesn't kink, no weird residue coming off of it. I have several other products they sell and it's the same story. It's quality stuff.

It is EVERYTHING the manufacturer and the other reviewers say it is - lightweight, strong, does NOT kink, excellent couplings.I bought a 100' length and I am preparing to order another 100' length. Besides SO easy to pull around whenever it gets one of those little coils in it they just POP right out - NO kinking!!!!!This will last forever - in the long run I expect to save money by not replacing the big box hoses.I also like this is an American, family owned business!!

The old saying "You get want you pay for" couldn't be further from the truth. This is an expensive hose, but if you want the best, then you wouldn't be disappointed in owning this hose. It retained its shape regardless whether it is a hot sunny day or in the middle of winter. On hot days, it retained is rigidity without getting too soft and wimpy. On very cold days, it would not harden and stiff up like a pole. Storing it, is a breeze because it would not flatten and pancake. Once unreeled, regardless of under hot or cold climate, it retained its shape and alleviate tangling problems. I cannot verify long-term durability, but as long as you don't abuse it, like dragging it along abrasive ground, it should last a long time.

I bought this because it is polyurethane and therefor totally safe. It also has a relatively large diameter so it has very good water flow (unlike the other brand of polyurethane garden hose sold on Amazon).But I was surprised at how kink resistant it is. As I drag it around the yard the hose will sometimes pinch momentarily but it always pops itself out of this state. I have never had to spend time trying to get the water flowing again by getting a kink out as I do with other hoses. So this has been a pleasant upside to the purchase.Yes it is crazy expensive as compared to vinyl hoses (which is true for any polyurethane hose). But the quality seems very good and the usability is also very good. And of course it is much safer than a vinyl hose form a toxins point of view.

I haven’t had this hose for very long, so I can’t speak to it’s durability. This hose is light weight but still pretty stiff. It does kink though, but not at easily as the other hose I have and it drives me nuts. But this is a solid hose. I may add to this review in the future to speak to it’s durability over time, but if you don’t hear from me, you can assume that it is continuing to last through an amount of time that I believe is reasonable for its price.

It has suffered two brutal summers and two fairly cold winters outside the entire time and it's still in great shape. I'm hoping for at least 5 years in these kids of elements and then maybe another few years in not-great shape after that. We'll see.

I originally bought two 12 feet of this brand hose and connected them together to make a 24 feet long hose. I was amazed how powerful the water came out due to bigger opening and also it never gets kinked up which I loved. So I decided to buy the 25 foot one. Well the Fedex delivery guy ended up accidentally delivering my new hose to an apartment across the street with my same home number but different street name. Sadly the renters there would not give it back to me and kept denying that they had it but neighbor said they saw the box had been left at there front door. I called and spoke with the owner that makes these amazing Eley hoses and he said “no problem, I will send you out a new one immediately” So I soon after speaking with him, received my new hose and was so delighted to see it was the same well made hose as my other two that was purchased a couple of years ago. Thank you for making such a great hose.
