Work well when AA is reversed
This review is for "10 Pack AA to C Size Battery Spacer Converter Case, Sackorange C Size Battery Adapter Spacers Case for Rechargeable Battery", Sackorange Part Number CS-sack-018 (ASIN B072L6SHR7). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product. The Sackorange AA to C Adapters shipped quickly and were packaged reasonably in a padded envelope. Within the padded shipping envelope, the adapters arrived in an opaque black plastic bag which was taped shut.I purchased the Sackorange Aa to C adapters to power a hand sanitizer dispenser which I have mounted to the wall in my shop. I don't typically buy C batteries, but I always have AA and AAA on hand, both primary and rechargeable cells. The adapter kit includes ten adapters but I need just four for the dispenser. I pulled out four adapters and inserted the AA cells. This was very easy. Then I attempted to slide the adapters into the dispenser. This was very difficult. I found that the springs inside the battery compartment wanted to slide off the negative end of the AA cell. The negative end of the AA cell is the larger end, but it's still much smaller than a full C cell. It took a great deal of effort to get the springs to compress without having them slide off the negative end of the AA battery. I'd try and try again to get it on just right. Then after getting three in place, I'd knock one or two off their springs when I attempted to install the fourth cell. This was very frustrating and I eventually gave up.I started looking into alternative AA to C adapters, as some are designed to fully enclose the AA cell and therefore offer a full=sized negative contact. I also thought about purchasing some C sized rechargeable batteries. Then I noticed that the end of the Sackorange adapter designated for the positive terminal had a bit of an extended surface area. How would it work if I inserted the AA cells backwards? I reversed the four AA cells and then inserted them back into the hand sanitizer dispenser. Now the spring doesn’t flip off the end, it can slide a bit but still is held in place by the extended surface area. This went well and worked right the first time! Perfect! The Sackorange AA to C adapters worked fine for me once I inserted the AA cells backwards. If you are having trouble with inserting these adapters into your device, try reversing the AA batteries. Worked for me!

AA batteries are inexpensive and lightweight! D-cell batteries are neither 😬!
I bought these adaptors to allow the use of much less expensive AA batteries to power my D-cell LED flashlights. Since LEDs consume much less energy, a set of AA batteries can provide enough capacity to operate the flashlight a long time. An added bonus to the reduced cost, is the greatly reduced weight! An AA battery (in the adaptor) weighs about 25% of that of a standard D-cell. It's important to note that using AA cells (in adaptors) to power D-cell flashlights with incandescent bulbs (i.e. not LEDs) will have very short run times since incandescent bulbs consume way more energy than do LEDs.The adaptors seem to be of reasonable quality. The mechanism that holds the AA cell in the adaptor is a bit "touchy" an occasionally needs some manipulation to allow the battery to "snap" into position. For me, it's not a big issue. Initially, I was somewhat disappointed but once I found how easily the situation was remedied, my satisfaction was increased. While these adaptors could never be considered to be "tactical grade", I believe that they will last a long time. Once a battery is inserted and the unit is placed in the barrel of the flashlight, there are no stresses or strains to cause damage. The cost savings of using AA cells rather than D-cells make buying these adaptors a good idea. The weight saving is an added bonus.

Great for our candles that use C batteries to use as instead
We have a bunch of battery operated candles on a timer. Most use aa batteries but a few use C batteries. We have a plethora of rechargeable aa batteries. Rather than purchasing a bunch of C batteries plus new chargers we found this simple solution. The AA batteries insert and remove smoothly and the AAs work just fine for the candles

These are a joke - sizing is off, super thin and do not work.
I’ve used the Eneloop spacers for years, could not believe how expensive they are now. You get what you pay for. These are very poorly made. They seem to be designed for 1 charge use, flimsy, brittle and off size-wise. AA batteries do not fit in 6 out of 10, if you push in to fit case they either break and split open the case or just fall thru the other end. These are not actually c battery size either, they are 1/4” to 3/8” shorter than eneloop spacers or regular c batteries - they do not hold battery in light fixtures. Waste of time. Returned for refund.

So so ..
They do the job but the quality is not comparable to the enloop and lacrosse C size adapters I have. There are no end caps like I have on the other brands which may be an issue in some devices. This is slightly better than rolling up your AA with cardboard to get that C size diameter.I'm struggling to give it a 4 due to value but overall it's a 3-4 rating.
