Great for amateur radio, two way or scanner hobbies
I've been looking for something like this for a while to use in our RV travels and this is perfect! Why? Well it's lightweight, folds up easily but string enough to hold a discone antenna or ringo ranger.It's exactly what I wanted as others were too heavy and/or didn't fold.

Got it for a friend who could not put antenna on out side of his apartment so I got him this tripod and put a no ground antenna on it worked awesome
