Soldering required.
Needed to make a DCE <--> DCE Null Modem. This item is what it is. I expected the jumper wires to be press fit into the sockets, but they require soldering. About 1 hour of labor will be required.

Works.
Used this to build a converter for a CNC machine tool having a parallel port interface. The product is labeled for use with RS-232, but all 25 pins can be connected however you like - so it works great for any occasion where you need to patch one device using DB-25 connector to another with a different pin-out. One caveat - Pin #1 is permanently connected. If you need to re-route it, you will have to cut a trace on the circuit board.

Quality construction, good solution to custom wiring.
A perfect solution to making custom communications cabling. It's much easier to solder-up this Jumper Box than to solder-up a custom cable. Quality construction.
