Back in 2000, while undertaking a pretty serious lifestyle change and cleanse, it was recommended that I start to add a green drink to my day but I discovered that I was quite allergic to wheatgrass. You will find that it's in every green drink out there, except for Macro Greens.This used to be called Miracle Greens and personally I preferred the original name, but either way I love this formula. It's pleasant tasting enough, digests very well for me and always makes me feel better.The price has gone to insane levels and I have no idea why it appears to be more brown in color now than green, but it still tastes pleasant and gets the job done.For those complaining about the container not being full, dry goods are always sold by weight and not by volume. Like cereal, etc the powder settles during shipping.Despite the baffling price increases and color change, I'm still enjoying this and I also like Macro Reds. I alternate them or have them separately on the same day.In my opinion, there is no higher quality green drink out there and if you can't have wheatgrass, you're in luck.

The taste is not to great but i love how energized i got within a couple of days of adding this to my smoothies. Im not to great at keeping up with my daily veggy intake. So this makes up for it.

This Macro Greens Superfood Powder from MacroLife Naturals is similar to other, “Greens” powders I've had in the past. It mixes pretty easy, and I found the flavor to be a pleasant light Apple taste. I have mixed the suggested 9.4g of powder with 10-12 oz of water, and I found the flavor to be very light, with a bit of a sweet, Apple taste in the background. It’s easy to drink by itself. I’ve also mixed it in my morning shake/smoothie, and the flavor blends well in there. It mixes smooth, not gritty. So, if you are looking to add some greens to your shake mix, and some flavor, this is a good option. There is a scoop enclosed in the jar, however I prefer to weigh powders since it’s more accurate.This stuff mixes smooth on it's own. It's not chalky, or clumpy. Easy to mix in a shaker bottle. Also, not much sinks to the bottom of the cup if it sits for a bit of time, however it will have some settling after a minute or so. Taking this powder mixed alone, or with other powders works well and tastes fine. The jar is 20oz/567g, and contains 60 servings, with each serving being 9.4g. There is a lot going on with this Macro Greens Superfood Powder, and my body has no issues with it, no stomach upset or anything. No complaints, it’s pretty decent!

I previously purchased this in the smaller container. I really liked the product in my morning smoothies. I purchased this bigger container so that I would have it longer and when it arrived today label on it says contains lead. This is not OK! Besides that my smaller container list many of the ingredients as organic, This newer larger container does not list some of the ingredients as organic. I am very Disappointed and it cannot even be returned.

I have tried a large variety of green powder superfood drinks like this in the past but I have to say that this is definitely among the best deals for the price, compared to the quantity you receive. At first the price is a little daunting but when you consider the fact that a serving size is only one tablespoon and there are 60 servings in this container that is filled nearly to the brim, this is a great deal, especially when you consider the potent ingredients this contains. Good value for the price. I am really impressed by the variety of ingredients this contains. I like that this contains astragalus root, which is very beneficial for the immune system and also for the respiratory system. I also like that this contains licorice root powder, ginger root, milk thistle extract, and this even contains prickly pear leaf powder, which typically isn't found in these types of green powders. The probiotic blend is very generous and contains 18 billion units. Tip: You may want to keep this in the refrigerator when you aren't using it so as to preserve the quantity and quality of the living organisms in this probiotic blend. Not necessary but maybe beneficial.Finally, this is a fair tasting green powder. It doesn't really have a lot of sweetness to it, at least compared to some of the other green drinks I have used in the past but it doesn't contain corn syrup, sugar or any of those other nasty sweeteners or flavourings so I'm OK with it.
