It takes only a few minutes to get the waffles perfectly cooked. Super easy to clean and assemble, so I can do regular waffles and the trucks for the kids all on the same batch.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my grandson. My daughter used it today for the first time, and her hands were nearly blistered. The removable plates are unable to lock in place. This product us unsafe and faulty. But the return will dow has closed because I bought it June 23 but didn't give it to him until his birthday last week. Now I'm stuck with a piece of junk and my little guy is out a present.

My kids love the car shape waffles made by this machine, it is easy to use and fun shape will be made within 10 mins. 8 different car shapes this machine can made ( wish there were more shapes to choice), overall a good experience

I found the sandwich plates to work great. Warm up the unit while prepping the sandwiches. butter the bread on the outside (use just a tiny bit of spray on the plates). Slowly close the top once everything is in place and latch then set a timer for 5 minutes and they are done! We make sandwiches for the kids everyday for lunch during school: ham and cheese, pizza-style, leftover pork-loin and swiss (ala "Cuban"), peanut-butter n jelly, all sorts of combinations.Then, pop out the plates and quickly wash. They are non-stick so they clean up easily. Very nice to have removable plates for washing. Our old waffle maker had nonremovable plates and turned into a greasy mess over the years, despite diligent wipings with paper towels...We used the unit a couple times for waffles and found it to be a bit slower to cook them versus the sandwiches, hence the 4-star rather than the 5 star. But if you need one unit for sandwiches and waffles and other stuff (we didn't even use the "grill" plates yet), this is a great unit! I'd even get it for the sandwich capability alone.

So I ended up returning this because it wasn't that good. it made very small car size and it made a mess.
