The ankle support from the composite braces is exactly what I needed for my chronic weak ankle. True to size and width. Material and craftsmanship is on a level commenceret to the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FSA eligible and amazing fit *by S***W on September 1, 2019* If you have chronic ankle instability or other ankle/foot issue and can and get your medical provider to give you a prescription for DME bilateral ankle orthosis you can use an FSA account or similar to cover the cost of these boots. They truly fit like a glove I would say they run slightly narrow in the toe. I was planning to wear thick hiking socks with these but felt a bit to much contact on my little toe so switched to thinner socks and the fit is so secure that I don't notice any ankle or forefoot movement at all. If I get a second pair later I will probably jump up a 1/2 size but i want to see how they stretch and break in . The roll from the 19* sole means there is almost no flex occurring across the top of the forefoot of the boot unless you are taking long strides or running. I pretty much only wear boots daily and wanted these mostly for hiking. I have a collection of Zamberlan, Scarpa and Alico boots. These boots are more comfortable than all of them despite the more restricted movement. However, all these brands I own are Italian made. I have tried just about every brand of boot and nothing can compare to Italian boot quality and fit.
