Jonathan Green(12191) Love Your Soil, Soil Food for Lawns in Hard Soils - Soil Amendment for Grass & Vegetable Gardens (15,000 Sq. Ft.)

I can't believe this stuff works as well as it appears to work, but the proof is in the pictures. In the first picture, you can see on the left side the compacted ground next to the driveway where I have been having trouble growing grass, this is all starting to fill in. On the right side, the grass is lush and much thicker and greener than ever before. Ditto the rest of the lawn, trees and shrubs, all doing very well. I was skeptical and planning to rototill the compacted area to replant grass, but figured I would try this as a last resort. Hopefully, this has solved my problem. Very pleased, thank you.

I hate grass; hubby loves it. Compromised w/extended flower beds replacing some of the grass and elimination of chemicals used on the grass. We spread Love your soil along with composted manure on beds and the grass surrounding the house several years ago. That grass is now thick and green and looks great -- we don't do anything to it except keep it cut (we never water either). So do the flower beds, but you can readily see a huge improvement with the grass since it's way too pricey to use in the 1/2 acre back field which remains thin and struggling. It improves the actual soil and keeps working over the years. So, if you want to kill the grass like I do, don't use this on it.

IT WORKS

I was using this with the recommended 6 setting for Scotts rotary spreaders per the bag instructions. It wasn't long before I realized the 15,000 bag would not cover my 11,000 lawn. I wrote Jonathan Green and they suggested a 4 setting. I still ran out of product, but would have probably been able to cover my entire yard with the 4 setting. One star off for the confusion.That being said, after applying this product in early May, my lawn looked the best it ever looked the remaining spring and was green pretty much until late July (in Virginia). I don't know if it was 100% due to this product or the late fall feeding I had done the prior year, perhaps the combination. Definitely a product I plan to use each year. Will pretty much replace my Milorganite applications.

I added Jonathan Green love your soil in January 2024 my grass took the fertilizer and helped nourish my lawn! I also added it to my vegetable and it took off.

We have the thick, hard clay soil that they make bricks from.We were told that Jonathan Green grass seed is really good, but to use the Love Your Soil about 2 weeks before hand.Wow, what a difference. Now, it did not make the soil "black gold" but it did make the water penetrate easier. Pulling weeds is even easier. The grass seed is growing nicely. I would definitely recommend if you have hard, compact soil, esp. clay.

I really like the Jonathan Green products and have invested quite a lot this fall while trying to save my hopeless, weed invested lawn. I used this when overseeding with the JG Kentucky bluegrass and it is coming in nicely.
