This tool is amazing
Seriously, it strips wire in FRACTIONS of a second. I don’t know what I did without this for all these years…wasted time, I suppose.

Wow
This absolutely works as advertised. I watched YouTube videos before deciding whether to purchase this or the Milwaukee. This one comes with more dies and would share a common battery with the DeWalt power stapler which I also use for electrical work. DeWalt is really going after the electrical market with this, the power stapler, and the new power cutter. (I'd love to see a Dewalt cable pulling machine -- most are based on the Milwauke drive). One of the main reasons I selected this one in addition to the larger number of dies is the strip depth. This has a much deeper strip depth than the Milwauke. The only job I've done so far is 2/0. There are two dies for 2/0. Although the wire size is standardized the insulation and sheathing can vary. The first one I used didn't strip down to the wire. On the second one, perfect strip. Absolutely love it.That it shares common batteries with about 16 other DeWalt tools I own is even better.

Good tool, more money needed
This kit does not strip 6AWG wire as advertised. The bushings are available through Ripley. The tool works, expect to spend some more for what you need.Upset about the confusion about what comes in the kit, it’s awesome.Update:I have been using this tool twice a month since I bought it, years ago.It can be finicky, but once it gets dialed in it makes perfect strips.Crazy fast. Saves your hands.Highly recommended.

Pricey but worth it if you have a lot of big conductors to strip
I have a commercial project ongoing with a bunch of paralleled 300kcmil conductors in confined space to terminate.Although this tool is pricey and I do not own any other Dewalt battery powered tools, I took a chance on it. It works great! Once you have the correct bushing selected and the strip length dialed in, it will perfectly strip a wire in under 6 seconds!I will warn against setting the strip length screw too loosely - I had one that slid back and stripped 4" of insulation when I needed only 1 3/8" and it was almost a disaster on the length of cable that had been pulled. Lock that down tightly!I also needed bushings for 4 and 6 AWG (as the tool says it will strip these guages), but found out the hard way that Dewalt doesn't make bushings for these sizes, they only support them from other manufacturers. Very deceptive in my opinion. I had to track down another manufacturer, then meet a minimum quantity purchase to meet my needs...Also this 'other manufacturer' sells almost the same stripper without the power tool - you can buy just the stripper and bushings and use your existing drill... I think I would have gone that route had I known. Ripley is the brand.

Amazing...
For any Electrician who works on large wire this is a must have. I really thought it was just a gimmick tool until I used it. When landing distributions, CT cabinets, panels this will save so much time. Also possible a finger, no more blade slips!

Best cable stripper we have used
These are great- all cable sizes tried are perfect. My guys love them- actually just ordered more sets. Monster labor saver- if you terminate a lot of big wire these will pay for them selves very quickly- could be in one job...

GREAT TIMESAVER
I just finished a job with 52 terminations of 600 copper. It's a great tool to have. It does take some practice and always start with a clean straight cut. It's actually kinda fun once you get the hang of it.
