Perfect Combo for DIY Network Installs
This Brileine RJ45 crimp tool set works exactly as it should — clean crimps, easy pass-through cutting, and solid construction. The simplicity and speed it takes to complete a termination is super useful. The real standout is the CAT6 line tester, which is a must-have if you’re doing any DIY Ethernet installs. It made testing and verifying my runs quick and stress-free. Great value for a complete kit!

All-in-One Kit That Gets the Job Done
This kit had everything I needed to make my own Ethernet cables. The crimp tool feels solid and works well with both Cat5e and Cat6. The pass-through connectors make wiring easy and clean. The included cable tester is a nice bonus and works as expected. Great value for anyone setting up a home network or doing small installs.

Excellent combo set for the price.
I'm a retired network engineer and haven't done cabling for years. I had to use several tools and have someone at the other end to test or just pray I crimped the connector right. This tool and tester is a tremendous improvement. I was not only able to test jumpers but place part of the tester in my closet and test the other end at the room I was working in. The crimp tool is a fantastic combo of tools I had to use in the past such as knife to remove sleeve, old style crimp, and dykes to trim. It does it all. Now need a tool to separate the leads and keep them in the right order as you push them in the connector. Lol.

Great Tool Kit with One Weakness
I bought this kit to convert my Cat 5e phone lines into ethernet. I figured that I would put RJ45 passthrough connectors on each end and forgo keystone jacks. Well, I learned that was not a good idea after purchasing this toolkit.Overall, this toolkit is a great value for MOST of the items. The connectors and covers are good quality, the tester works as expected, the wire cutter is sharp, and the stripper/punchdown is the MVP of the group. The real loser is the crimper itself, which is why most people buy this kit to begin with. It looks like every other crimper sold on Amazon, but doesn't function correctly (as least mine doesn't). The stripper part on the tool is I'm guessing for Cat 6 cables as it too big for my Cat 5e. The cutter on it works, but the pliers given work better. The crimp part is where this thing falls flat. It seems to work just fine until you actually test out your ethernet cables. The connectors either don't pass data fully or they do and then they don't. I tested this over and over and came to the conclusion that the crimp tool is not crimping uniformly across the connector when pushed down. The gold contacts have markings afterwards where the brown wire connector is more scarred than the orange/white at the beginning. This tells me it is pushing down more on the one end than the other. It seemed that the #8 wire was always randomly working/not working on the tester. I would sometimes get 1Gbps, 100Mpbs, and sometimes it would keep disconnecting. I know it must be the crimp tool as I converted one end to a keystone jack and I immediately saw improvement. I bought a patch panel to use in my media cabinet for the other ends and voila my cable problems are over. Yes, I had the wires in the connectors correctly and everything. This tool just does not crimp the connections correctly with even pressure across the connector (even if it look perfect afterwards). I'm not sure if the gold contacts are being marked too much or not pushed down enough. If you are buying this for the crimp tool, then you may get a faulty one like I did. The other items seems to work great and are worth the package alone (especially the cheap yellow stripper / punchdown tool). I ended up keeping this kit for the other items, but will trash the crimp tool itself. Of course if you want to return one item, you have to return the entire kit and risk getting something else broken. Take your chances on this kit, but don't expect everything to work.

Works fine
It has a learning curve, but once you get used to it its actually quite easy. The Main thing is matching the wires with where they are supposed to go. If you manually insert each wire into each of the connectors slots before putting it into the crimper its easier to see where they go. All in all, im happy with this crimper.

Did not work
Because of new Internet service to my home which required moving the router to the garage, I needed to run an Ethernet cable approximately 30 ft. between floors. I purchased a spool of Cat-6 cable and this kit to terminate the cable. Having followed the instructions precisely, upon crimping/trimming the pass through connectors, the cable did not work. When plugged into the router and uplink port on the switch, the lights on the switch did not light up, hence no connection. I cut off and redid both ends about 4 times without success. Sometimes the tester would show position 1 not active, other times the tester showed that the cable was terminated ok. I decided that I must have damaged the wire when pulling it through the hole, so I cut a new section of cable and carefully fished it though. Repeated the process of cutting and re-doing the connectors, no success.Next, I purchased the Klein crimp tool (80024) and a pack of their plugs. First try, success. The lights on the switch lit up like a Christmas tree. I will occasionally go cheap on a tool that I plan to use very infrequently, but in this case, not recommended.

Nice crimping kit
Crimper tool works great. The kit is good. Made an Ethernet plug in about 5 minutes. Tested Ethernet plug and wire. There were no faulty connections. I would recommend this tool kit.
