I love this TV! Great color, easy setup. It simply does the job.
This review is being wrote on the first day that I've owned this TV and so far I have to say that I'm 100% satisfied with my new TV. This Samsung flat 32-inch replaced a 30 year old Zenith standard definition TV in my bedroom which just simply refused to die but because I was switching my DirecTV service to a new Geini with Geni wireless minis for the secondary TV's it seemed like a good time to retire my old Zenith work horse.I can almost here other reviewers complaints about this Samsung right now, so let me address those assumed issues right up front. That's my prerogative since it looks like mine will be the first review:1. This is a 720p TV, not 1024i. I knew that going in That's all I wanted in a bedroom for a 3rd TV, I don't need 1020 or 4K or any of that in there the room's too small. No reason to pay extra $$$ for super high resolution in a room where I'll most likely fall asleep during half the programs anyway :-).2. This is NOT a smart TV! I didn't want that as its only use will be basically as a monitor for a DirecTV Geni wireless mini. I'd never use any smart TV function in that room, don't need it.3. Yup, the sound is a little lower and not as crisp as a surround sound TV. I knew that going in. I didn't want tp blast the sheets off the bed with mega woofers. Just want to hear a program adequately in a quiet bedroom. This TV does that just fine.OK, with that out of the way I'll continue:Unpacking and setup was a breeze. About all you need to do is attach the two stand legs with the four supplied Philips screws. You do own a #2 Philips screw driver don't you. Then set the TV where you want it, plug it in, install the two AAA batteries (supplied) in the remote, attach the video source of you choosing and that's about it. This Samsung has 2 HDMI ports on the side, Composite and/or component video ports. There's also standard audio input for those using Component or composite video input. And of course there's an antenna hookup too if you're a cord cutter. Oh I forgot to mention, there's also an optical audio out port for use by those who may want to add a sound bar and gain blasting sound. If you've ever owned another Samsung TV you'll find the on-screen setup menu and remote controls familiar. You won't have to setup much except let the TV scan for local channels and it starts playing TV shows right off the bat. There are other optional setup options for color, sound, whatever, but those are just for folks who like to fiddle around with sort of thing. You can consult the adequate manual for all that stuff.Closing comments:This nice little TV has wonderful color, adequate sound for smaller rooms, and it's easy to use. I couldn't be happier. If you need or want smart functions, Wi-Fi, blasting sound this is probably not the TV for you, look at other more expensive models. But if you want a good TV to go with a cable or satellite box in a smaller room I doubt if you can beat this Samsung TV.

Affordable, lightweight, crisp and beautiful images!
I bought this TV as a spare for my mother's guest room. I stay over on weekends sometimes and I had the option of either watching something that someone else in the house was watching, or squinting over a small laptop screen while watching movies in the guest bed. Both those options got old real quick, I was low on funds due to pricey Christmas purchases and wanted something of an average size, and for less than $200. All I was finding were subpar brands I had never heard of, but I continued looking and my perseverance paid off when I found this Samsung TV that met all my requirements. It was of the great quality and performance I have come to expect from Samsung televisions. Setting it up was easy, not to mention, how light it was. I lifted it by myself, set it on the bed, inserted the feet, and put it on the cabinet. I own two Samsung TVs at my condo, both are LCDs, but weigh significantly more than this one (they are also over 10 years old and work flawlessly, a testament to the quality of Samsung electronics). The image on this TV is sharp, colors are beautiful, and best of all, it was extremely affordable, and a brand new 2017 model (I bought it in 2017, so having a brand new model, rather than something a year or two old, was awesome). Does the job, and very well! By the way, my mother bought herself a Toshiba which would not play anything off a thumb drive. This TV cost me less than her Toshiba and will open and play thumb drives, for those wondering. I also connected my Fire Stick and it works great.

Great color, picture, sound. Only one issue, but overall it's a good deal.
Quick delivery from Amazon - 5 days from order to my door (in Alaska). Prior to making my decision, and purchase, I read through numerous reviews of different brand name 32" televisions and Samsung had good ones, especially concerning the sound quality - which is important to me. Easy, breezy set up. Color and picture is great. The only exception I have is when a person's face becomes unfocused and refocused in jerky motions, lasting only for a second or two when their heads move (during conversations). It may not be very noticeable to some, but I'm aware of it and find it a bit distracting. Of course it's more pronounced in zoom screen mode, but I can't see having a 32" tv screen and watch programs in smaller proportions like panel. The full screen stretches the picture from side to side and doesn't look normal to me, and the same issue occurs. Otherwise I've very pleased with the quality of this product. I will update this review in a few weeks or months. Perhaps I'll discover a setting or something that can correct this problem that I presume has to do with the "moving picture resolution and refresh rate?" That would be great.

Excellent value, poor sound
I got this TV at a great price. It's an excellent value and has a great screen. I use this as a second TV in the spare room so we're not looking for this to be a primary viewing vehicle. The picture is vibrant and sharp until you get high-action scenes and some sporting events. Lots of movement tends to pixelate the screen and it gets a little choppy. Nothing too serious but it's certainly not the best screen out there. Again, with what I paid for this, I would not expect it to be the best out there. But be aware that's a small issue I have seen. The sound is where I have the biggest issue. It's way to tough to get the sound correct on this TV. I've had to turn it up to 50 to hear some scenes only to have the next scene come blaring out. I've never really had this issue with any other viewing device before. Do yourself a favor and get a small sound bar as part of the setup and use it as your primary speaker. I haven't done that yet and I hope that when I do I don't hear the same jumps in sound as a result of some internal TV programming.Very light weight. Be careful not to tip it over as it does seem a bit top-heavy.There are enough inputs in the back for most of my needs. But don't expect to make this a prime entertainment center.Overall, good value and decent set.
