UPDATE December 9, 2024: So, the other night I started watching "Call the Midwife" and to my delight the nurses rewarded themselves after a long hard day with mugs of 'Orlicks! I hadn't ordered any for awhile (kinda pricy for me) but it was obviously a holiday season sign from the universe. I'd just made a Sustainer Donation to my local NPR too. So, the mug, the hot milk and HORLICKS made for a pre holiday gift to myself! Cheers and a Happy Christmas (as the Brits say!) Only gave it 4 stars the first review. Nobody believes a 5 Star. I've loved this stuff since the70's when I had some while living in Europe. Happy to have found it.

I love the flavor of malt. This is great in drinks and I mix it into vanilla ice cream. Good quality.

As an American I have no nostalgic connection to this product. I bought a small container to try. To me it tastes like "ingredients", like it was the base for something that was supposed to have an additional flavor. For other Americans looking to try it I might recommend getting the chocolate version instead. It seems like the flavors in the plain version would work well with chocolate and be a different taste than the other instant hot chocolate powders we're used to. I can't see myself buying a second container of this. There is nothing wrong with it and its exactly as described it just doesn't work for me.

Love it. Good tasting and a wonderful reminder of what I used to enjoy back in the day.

I tried this, like many others, after hearing it mentioned on Call the Midwife. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I'm sure if you were raised drinking it than it's great for you. A culture difference I guess. But, I've never been a fan of the Carnation drinks either.

I've always preferred a malt over a shake. This is the best malted milk powder. This is a very old, established brand, and will be appreciated by any other "old-school" lovers of a good old-fashioed malt!

Thanks to "Call the Midwife" I had to try this. I absolutely (Trixie's word, if you know, you know) like it and will be buying it again. I have found it to be soothing at night.

The taste has a bitter aftertaste and could barely drink this. Do not waste your money. I usually do not do reviews unless something is wrong or bad. Not the flavor or drink I grew up drinking. Might as well buy carnation malt beverage. Waste of product and my money!
