This is not a self-help book! Haim Shapira says: "There are no organised trips to happiness." You will not find here instructions how to solve life problems, but this book will "delight as well as enlighten you". This playful book is very well written and deals with serious matters with a wonderfully refreshing voice. Should become a classic.

Great Read
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Refreshing to find so much delicious Food for Thought without being told what it is that we are to think.

Thank you, Haim.
The questions I was left with at the conclusion of the book made me laugh as I drew breath from the wafting Spring breezes. I knew it was a gift from God to be given an opportunity to serve others: this book provides a confirmation of that knowledge. It also makes me certain that I must ask more questions. Thank you, Haim. I will treasure these things you have shared with me.

Undisciplined, wandering, repetitive
Not the worst book I've read recently, but rather hard to recommend. There is wit, humor, and (mostly borrowed) wisdom, but a lot of digression, quite a bit of sloppiness, and the apparent presupposition by the author that his scattershot conversational style is not an undue imposition on the reader. You would likely be better off spending your time with the works the author cites. Tolstoy ("The Death of Ivan Illich"), say, or Saint-Exupery's "The Little Prince", or the Stoics. Or for that matter, watch "13 Conversations About One Thing", which conveys much of what is said in this book about happiness. The kindle sample prompted me to buy this, but reading became a chore long before I reached the end. However, as a very brief introduction to a variety of authors and works, it may be of some service to some readers.

A real book of wisdom.
Wow! This is the most wonderful book of wisdom i have ever read. The author manages to capture the essence of life. Anger, death and the meaning of life are so exquisitely covered. The wise man will find the book a delight to read.

Truly Delightful Book !
Reading this book is like having a wise teacher take you by the hand and lead you through the greatest passages in the greatest books ever written. The quote from Anna Karenina enabled me to explain the empty shell I was when my wife was ripped from me after a long illness. That section alone was useful in my GriefShare group and I think it should be incorporated into the GriefShare program. Yes, I love this book.

Great Book
Maybe the words of Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar describe this book perfectly: "A seriously playful book that will inform, transform, delight as well as enlighten you".A great book, should become a classic, both enlightening and entertaining.

Very thought provoking.
Will likely revisit this gem many more times, and reread the little Prince. And definitely will seek the path of Grace.

Un libro para disfrutar y tegalar. Ligero y profundo a la vez. El único pero es la letra minúscula de la edición
