quick setup - great quality - well-thought out system - expandable to include more devices
This little alarm kit is so well-thought out (except for one little bit) - it's perfect for use with just the 4 sensors, but also expandable to include an entire array of devices. I really appreciate that a) I don't have to be tied into a subscription to use, and b) that I don't have to use the big name companies that collect too much data. Even when setting up the app, it asks if it can collect data, and you can opt-out without pressure and no add'l prompts! The kit itself is well planned - they include not just 4 sticky strips for each sensor, but 8, so double what you actually need - just in case! It's really well packed - after ordering online for the past two years, I'm half expecting things to just be thrown in the box and then not work (this happened with a 1.7k laptop..!) - but this package was REALLY well packaged. The instructions were super clear - VERY easy to setup step by step - the app was simple. The alarm itself is loud for indoor use, but I couldn't hear it with two doors closed through the hallway and in the kitchen - so the external siren is probably good to setup for longer ranges. The siren cord isn't very long, I wish it could be wireless too so I could set up in another room - but the good thing is I can pair another alarm set to the same system and have a few hubs around the house. What I really appreciated about the hub is it still works if the power goes out for 2 more hours! Not common in these mid/lower-range systems. The sensors are big and have a light - they're obvious, which is a good deterent. There's a little switch in the back, which I find neat - so you can turn it off to conserve battery - BUT the battery is soldered to the motherboard, so it's not replaceable. That's the only disappointment. I cant imagine the sensors draining a lot of battery juice, but maybe in 2-3 years? maybe less? they might run out. I'm curious what solution the company has for that, when they do run out - if they send replacements, or have to buy new ones? But for at least 1-2 years I know I'm covered - and that works for my needs right now - especially at this price point.Honestly, I really love this kit - it feels solid and super glad it's expandable to include more devices, and there's no subscription. It's not often I find companies I like, but once I do, I stick with them. Will probably try the camera setup too with this hub. Oh - it also comes with two remotes, so I don't always have to rely on the app, which, at least on my old phone, can be a bit laggy. The app is super customizable too - this really is perfect for me because I like having things setup very specifically, so I like the full control over my system.

Excellent little device
Had this for a few months now. Absolutely excellent. zero false alarms, and super easy to set up. I have a larger home and sleep upstairs, so I was worried it wouldn't wake me in case of an intruder. That is NOT an issue, the "home base" unit has a speaker built in and it's fairly loud, but the secondary speaker (comes with it) is very much a loud deterrent. It will wake you up no problem, and is so jarring, most intruders would leave right away. Very good device. 10/10. Also, the range on the remotes is very very good.

Doesn't work
When I first set it up, it connected to my 5G wifi. Tested it and it worked great! 30 minutes later it disconnected from my wifi, and since then I haven't been able to reconnect it. Very disappointed! My modem have both 2.4G and 5G wifi. App also seems to work better with iPhone as the app on my android didn't work at all. Had to use my wife's iPhone.

SUPER loud!
I have Ring cameras and PTZ cameras. I have two PTZ cameras and my Ring doorbell outside. I have two more PTZ cameras inside, along with two Ring cameras. I wanted a security alarm but didn’t want to dish out the almost $200 for the Ring system. I searched and searched for an alarm system that was Alexa compatible and I stumbled upon this one. I initially tried another system first but it didn’t have the alarm sound I wanted. So, I finally settled on this one. Now, I seen some of the reviews stating they couldn’t get it to link with Alexa, but I had no troubles connecting it via the SmartLife app (click on the ME button and hit the Alexa button). All in all, it gives me the peace of mind that I now have an alarm, a super LOUD alarm at that, should my 4 year old decide to try and open the door when we are sleeping, but also that my house is protected even more (family jokes my house is like Fort Knox 😂).

Ok set up for the price, but could be much better
This hardware uses smartlife app, which is pretty cool, but lacks a lot of functionality for the alarmIt doesn't identify easily which device is wh at, so I had to trigger the alarm numerous times and look in the log file to see which device triggered it systematically. The notifications don't stay long in the appAdhesive is super strong and not forgiving. Dont' mess up placement. The door sensor and magnet have to be extremely close to each other, almost touching. Doesn't leave much room for error.Wifi range of hub isn't great.Good pointsBack up battery option is cool considering there' no good way to make sure this thing stays installed.Hardware seems decent enough for the price pointWifi connectivity is cool, especially with Alexa integration as well

Responsive... Good for price
Replaced a similar unit that somehow never reported which sensor tripped. This one is very responsive and accurate.Sensors and remotes program easily. I was even able to use my previous systems 433 mhz accessories.System "feels" lower quality, base and remotes, but works so far.Included Siren is LOUD. Base unit also has good volume. You can program volumes as well as entry/exit delays. You should note that this is not a "state sensitive" system. It has no idea if your doors, etc. are open or closed so you will need to physically check them when you arm the system.Alexa programming is easy,. You install the Smart Home app, add this alarm (suggest you name it "alarm"), go to Alexa, add device (security system) brand is "smart life" discover devices, set up pin and you should be good to go. Test it.."Alexa, turn on alarm". "Alexa, disarm alarm". (Don't say "turn off alarm" or she will insult you.So far, so good.

This is a good system
Pros:No monthly costs, the app they use has an option for Text/Calls to alert you, very cheap online $5 for both and you'll have 100 credits (1 credit per call/text).Easy to installLots of customization options for the system on the app.Cons:The sticker mount on the siren doesn't hold, the base doesn't have a sticker mount.Easy to fix, just use a command strip.Overall:For the price it's worth it, adds some piece of mind for your property.

Smarter than expected
This comes with a hub that you can secure so it can't be accessed easily. Smartlife makes the setup so much easier, no need to read the manual (at least for me). It does everything I hoped for and more. This is a no brainer, must buy. 4 sensors for under hundred bucks. Hope it'll last. Best to delete all existing sensor and add them manually so it can be renamed easily without guessing.

False alarm
I am getting false alarm and cannot rely on this system. Also cannot find which sensor causing the false alarm from the app.I could not set the app to notify me the status of each sensor or they don’t support it.

It works well after som changes
I got this alarm after reading a lot on Amazon and comparing. The first setup was quite easy on the app, including the pairing. It is easy if you know a bit about technology. The manual is good, despite the fact of not explaining well some alarm modes. I use the basic, alarm and chime, so I don't push too much the possibilities.I only had a problem with a delay or no chime for my main door, the most used one. After some chat with the support (which clearly uses Google translator), I realized the base should be placed close to the most used door. If you have a huge place if several walls and devices in between I am pretty sure the chime mode will be affected and might not ring all the time. However, the main alarm ALWAYS worked (since day one). This is what really matters.Ah, the Portuguese translation is not the Brazilian version, but the Portugal one. Of course, this does not affect the alarm, so it is ok.
