I might be nutty, but coffee mugs. for me, are a big deal. Good coffee is good but in a good mug it's better. I probably overthought this but here goes ...Been using these every day since they arrived.Aesthetically they're wonderful. I got orange with the white interior. Color is great, rich; the differentiation between the color and the white is precise enough to be clear but smooth.Retains both heat and cold well. Great for morning coffee as well as midnight milk and cookies.Nice and wide at the top without being so thin at the bottom that it's unstable. Perfect size. I'm a fairly big guy and this is the size I always thought a normal coffee cup should be, if that makes sense -- holds an actual cup of coffee, not a 4- or 5-sip teaser. The handle is a decent size; it tapers in toward the bottom so if you're one of those people who likes to held your mug in a kung-fu grip you're out of luck unless you have really small hands.Nice weight, not heavy but substantial. They feel durable enough, though to be fair I might still be being "careful" when they're in the sink with other dishes and stuff, just because they're fairly new and I'm enamored with them.I rarely do 5-star reviews, just because something has to be outstanding, IMO. These are outstanding -- qualified by the fact that I got a set of 4 for $23 shipped.I can't tell you how much I would pay for them because I don't know that I would pay a whole lot for nice coffee mugs, because they are, after all, just coffee mugs. But I'm more than happy having paid only that for mugs like these.Told you I overthought it.

Lead-free or low-lead2. Large3. Sturdy4. Good-lookingIt was surprisingly difficult to find a mug that checked all of the boxes, but these Sweese porcelain mugs beat out all the others.Low lead: One of my main concerns was finding a mug that was lead-free or had low levels of lead. After doing some research, I discovered that many ceramic mugs exceed healthy lead limits, especially mugs with brightly-colored glazes or printed graphics. Sweese claims these mugs are lead-free, and based on my research, I believe that they're "very likely to be significantly lower in lead than your average mug."Large: When filled to the brim, these mugs hold 16 oz., which is the perfect size for me. It's large, but not so large that it weighs a ton or looks like a novelty mug.Sturdy: I use an Aeropress to brew coffee directly into my drinking mug. This means I need a mug that can withstand some downward pressure and abrupt temperature changes. These porcelain mugs have been perfect in this regard!Good-looking: At first I thought the mugs looked a bit bland, but the more I use them, the more I appreciate their simple design. Over time, they've become my favorites, despite a few minor imperfections on the inside of one or two mugs.Finally, these mugs are listed as microwave and dishwasher safe, and I've had no issues using them in either. After owning these for nearly three months, I really can't think of anything negative to say about them. I wish I'd purchased them sooner.

Love the size, attractive design, and the fact that the contents, but not the cup, heat up nicely in the microwave if you are like me and don't always finish your coffee before it gets cold. Just one caveat: they break easily in the dishwasher (1) or if dropped even a short distance of several inches (1). I ordered a total of 18, keeping 6 in the cupboard at once, with the rest stored for when I entertain and need more. So far I'm down to 15 because two broke in the dishwasher, and one has a handle that looks like it is cracking off without any obvious cause. Still worth buying, but be careful with dishwasher placement.

These coffee mugs are gorgeous. Nice weight and sturdy handle. Off-white porcelain and beautiful shape. Absolutely love these quality mugs.

I usually don't take the time to review purchases & I make many. The Sweese porcelain is finished in a fine glaze that feels lovely to the touch. I have purchased fruit bowls, salad plates & now coffee mugs that come in multiple color selection or all the same color if you choose. I use my plates & bowls daily and these mugs are exactly the quality I have expected from Sweese. I plan in the future to purchase other pieces such as pasta dish/bowls.
