Product worked great. No issues until it broke. The switch & the outer base is made of plastic. There are 2 tiny pieces of plastic holding the switch to the base. They broke at the same time & the sping the switch uses to turn it on/off flew out. There is no way to fix it. I bought mine in April 2025. I thought it would last a lot longer. I didn't know it how it was constructed until it broke. Hopefully the company will replace it. If so, I will make another review.

2nd review: I did buy another one - in fact, I bought 2, because I like this device so much I decided to keep a backup to cover a second breakage. I was rewarded with a device that rotates effortlessly when I pull cautiously and apply rotational force simultaneously - which is the procedure the mfg. requires. Apparently my original device was defective or I was reckless. Either way, I am happy now. Good product. 1st review: I really liked this item. It looked good & performed well, but I thought too much effort was required to pull it out to make a position adjustment. I was proven right after 2 months & fewer than a dozen adjustments, when the puny core element snapped. On the attached photo, I marked in red the broken core - that cannot be repaired. I might buy another one of these if I had a need for a permanent position that required one adjustment.

Easy to use

I was about to return this after trying 3 different bulbs but finally the 3rd bulb screwed on further and then it worked. I didn't put a light in the coop because Electricians are so expensive so I just had them put in outlets and this works just as well. Love it and the fact that you can turn the prongs to match the outlet.

I’ve purchased this 3-4x and every single time it breaks.. the metal spring inside comes out and you can no longer turn on/off

I put two of these in my furnace room, as it only had one dim bulb that was not installed in the most ideal location. These fit in two separate duplex receptacles (with the extenders) and now light up the entire room. A cheap fix, instead wiring in a new lamp socket and junction box.

Ordered this to help position my light bulb wifi camera on an external outlet. While I like the idea of using these cameras from a lighting fixture for stealth purposes, I find it impractical as this would require the lights to be on 24/7 and most external house lights are a bank and not singular (so needless energy drain and looks funny too). As a result I usually end up plugging them in to a wall socket. The latest cam I bought didn't come with a bulb to power adapter (as usual) so I needed one. With the outlet being 90 degree to my desired viewing angle, I needed a 90 degree adapter. I had the added complication of an outdoor outlet weather door to contend with (so a small block adapter wouldn't do as wouldn't be long enough to clear lip). And if the adapter was longer, it would have to deal with the weight of the camera vs a bulb, so would benefit from a 3 prong design. But with the outdoor cover the adapter would also have to bend downwards, an issue with a 3 prong as it could only be plugged in one direction. This adapter is not only strong enough to hold a camera when plugged in, and is long enough to clear the outlet cover, but the prong extension rachets 180 degrees to be plugged in up or down! Almost the perfect design for this application. It's also better built than the cheaper alternative, that I had to return as that one came broken. Works perfectly with my cam. Recommended!
