Jekyll and Hyde: A Good Read for the Thoughtful Reader
I strongly suggest reading this book! Brought to you by the same man who wrote Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an intriguing story about how lack of self acceptance can lead to ruin.Published in 1886, this fantasy thriller leads the reader along a storyline full of surprising developments, interesting interactions, and suspenseful moments. The plot is grounded in a realistic setting but its execution brings about a fantastical outcome that feels unique and refreshing. As it progresses, it slowly opens the reader to the truth in a satisfying way. The characters are as well fleshed out as the story, each with his own distinct traits like Dr. Jekyll’s peculiarity, Mr. Utterson’s inquisitiveness, and Mr. Hyde’s mystery.Unlike other books from similar genres, this novel is short and to the point, delivering important moral messages about life as it progresses. With ideas like reputation and personality being addressed through a critical lens, the book is a sophisticated read aimed at a more mature audience. The subtle details and intrigue are well fit for people who enjoy reading a book that gets you thinking. From your average bookworm to the advanced student pursuing critical readings, this book’s masterful writing and clear cut principles are sure to entertain.

What's going on with Dr. Jekyll?
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson may have a long title, but it's a short book to read. The Strange Case is about the duality of man: good versus evil, and how everyone has that inside of them.Mr. Utterson, the lawyer, finds it odd that his good friend Dr. Jekyll has amended his will in order to leave everything to Mr. Hyde. This is strange because Mr. Hyde is an unappealing man, possibly deformed, not to mention evil, having caused major disturbances and a horrific crime.Dr. Jekyll won't get into his relationship with Mr. Hyde, but Mr. Utterson is going to get down to the bottom of the situation eventually!I really enjoyed this book. It was short, and while I kind of knew what the premise was, there were pieces I did not know, which made it a better read. You should read it if you enjoy classics, a little bit of horror, and short novels!Everyone has good and evil inside of them, and most people work on a balance between the two, shifting more to the good side than the evil side. But what if those two sides could be separated?Would you want to separate your good side and evil side into two separate people? Thanks for reading,Rebecca @ Love at First Book

Excellent Story, Well Written
The typeset on this version is TINY, so if you have old eyes, you probably need a different version. That said, this is the complete unabridged classic tale. Stevenson has a great writing style, but remember, he's an Englishman writing around 1884, so this will test your vocabulary (a lot of words we no longer use).Great theme (internal struggles of good vs. evil and what happens if you cater to the evil for too long). Great suspense, quick read (this version is only 54 pages). Overall a 5 out of 5.

Good book for school
The price on this book was awesome. My son needed it for school his 8th Grade AP-English. He wasn't wild about reading this book or the story, but he liked the size of the book. I needed this book in two days which I thought was going to be impossible, my son didn't tell me until the last minute he needed it. I couldn't believe it when it arrived right on time!

An Unexpected Surprise
I never had the chance to read the Frankenstein book and only knew the original movie. This is definitely far from the movie and much better! This is the first book I’ve ever read where some scenes actually make me a little uneasy. For how old this book is, Barnes & Noble did a great job sticking to the themes of the book while making it easy to read.

Short but Excellent.
I have read this probably a 100 times. My daughter is an English Professor. So, when she teaches one of the classics, I read it too.

Recomendado!
Aumentando mi colección, es un libro delgado, con letras un poco pequeñas, pero muy practico para llevarlo en un viaje, y practicar mi inglés.
