An Evergreen B &W classic, which is still relevant today. I had watched it 20 years ago and again watched it a few days ago with my family. Kids loved it thoroughly 😀. Very inspiring and warm hearted movie. If you are going through difficult times, you must watch it and I assure you, it will give you hope and courage in life.

The grand-daddy of all Feel-Good movies!An apt description of this movie by a critic.!This film will give you hope and joy! And it's quite secular in its ethos! So, you maybe an atheist or non Christian and the impact will be huge!Great family movie! Es la edición americana, compatible zonas A, B y C, totalmente restaurada y una calidad bástate buena, 2 discos, Blu-ray 4 k versión en B/N y Blu-ray versión coloreada (está francamente bien). Tiene audio en español neutro, no es la versión en castellano que conocemos, pero aún así no está mal.

Pour François Truffaut, le plus beau film du monde était le magnifique "L'aurore" de F. W. Murnau. Pour contrer humblement l'avis de ce grand réalisateur, je relativiserais en disant que "It's a wondefull life" est MON plus beau film du monde. Monument de sensibilité et de poésie cinématographique, charge subtile contre la cupidité, la méchanceté et la ségrégation sociale, voire culturelle, doublée d'un hymne confraternel à la tolérance et à la vie, ce bijou de réalisation offre, sur une narration passionnante, tantôt franchement drôle, tantôt carrément bouleversante, un scénario original, mâtiné de fantastique, doté d'une humanité roborative et dénué, fort heureusement, de tout mysticisme...La France n'étant pas capable de nous proposer un blu ray de ce classique, je me suis tourné vers l'import. Grâce au commentaire très intelligent de SKALKA, (que je remercie vivement !), j'ai pu l'acheter en import USA (zone 1 ou A habituellement) sous ASIN: B001UHOWXI en "FREE REGION". Ne possédant pas de lecteur multizone, je viens de le recevoir et j'ai constaté qu'il se lit parfaitement sur mon lecteur européen (zone 2 ou B). Il est encodé en plusieurs langues dont le français, pour ceux qui préfèrent, et possède des sous-titres français pour les non anglophones qui préfèrent la VO, comme c'est mon cas. Une galette avec le film en N&B d'origine MAGNIFIQUEMENT restauré, comprenant 2 bonus (sous titrés français, le panard !), l'autre galette offre une version colorisée (sous titres français amovibles également) de bonne facture (sauf les carnations un peu orangées, petit problème inhérent à toutes les colorisations !). Vendu comme occasion (?!) dans un boîtier amaray (plastique bleu protégé d'un blister plastique) avec sur-étui cartonné (non protégé mais impeccable) percé d'une découpe circulaire sur le détail primordial de la jaquette.Aficionados, faites un autodafé de votre pauvre DVD à l'image pourrie et achetez ce BR sans plus attendre !! "Musique pour vous" propose le meilleur tarif de 16,70 € avec 2,79 € de FP et le livre ne 15 jours ! Je suis fou de joie !!!!!!

There's only a handful of American movies that have become iconic cultural treasures over the past 90 years or so. One definite member of that distinguished club is the saga of George Bailey and the goings on in Bedford Falls. Somewhat of a dud with audiences during its original release just after WWII It's a Wonder Life grew in stature with the film falling into the public domain in the 1970's and enjoying wide repeated viewing on television in millions of people's homes as a Christmas ritual for the last several decades. If you aren't a little choked up and grinning from ear to ear at the end of this film, you may want to have your pulse taken!This stunning 4k UHD Blu-ray is amazing. I have an old THX "certified" DVD and it bears only a slim resemblance to this remastered film on this new disc. All the white flashes, noise, hairline cracks and other damage is gone. We a left with a pristine image with beautiful fine grain with no edge enhancements or DNR. The Dolby Vision black and white image has great grey scales with deep blacks.You can see detail on the clothing. Facial expressions and textures come forward. It really draws you in. The mono Dolby TrueHD track is clear and clean with no distortion and great dialog clarity. I'm not a fan of the colorized version on Blu-ray that's included but I'll guess there are those that will appreciate it. A most enthusiastic recommendation to add to your movie collection.
