I didn't actually purchase these for their intended purpose as shelving brackets so I can't really comment on their suitability for that. They are definitely very strong stainless steel brackets though and for a small shelf I think they would probably be fine, however, they do not have any reinforcing ridges in them so with enough weight it would be possible to bend them.Although these brackets are pretty spot on 90 degree right angles they are not completely flat/slightly bowed and it was impossible to try bending them with my hands.They come supplied with black screws and wall plugs which is a nice touch but depending on the material you're mounting them to you may need a different type or better quality wall plug.I think these are quite expensive for what they actually are but they have served their purpose perfectly for me.I actually used 4 of these to attach a D5 Next water pump and Alphacool reservoir into the bottom of a Thermaltake Tower 900 case, which only has pump mounts for their own brand of pump. I needed to hacksaw 4 brackets down which was surprisingly straightforward and easy to smooth off with a Dremmel. However, these brackets are very tough and I found it incredibly difficult to drill some additional holes in them even when using decent tools! I suspect most people won't be using these for this kind of 'niche' project though!
