Would have been 5 stars
But when I got these pads in they were all a little different. Thickness and the material used for them.I'm not sure the material- which really just seem like the patern- would make a difference but the thickness bothers me.Thickness matters because of the fact that the pets will be in the crates laying down and trying to be comfortable. Thickness varies by about 1/2"- so its noticeable. So now I have to make sure the younger ones get the thinner pads.Otherwise these pads are great. I've had them before (w/o the thickness issue) and they are very easy to wash and are pretty durable, unless you have a heavy chewer.

Product is good. I have used it before and it does ...
Product is good. I have used it before and it does as promised. Dogs are kept dry and there is easy clean up.I prefer the blue and white color instead of the grey. The grey looks dirty.I would purchase the product again only if it is not grey.

Easy to clean too
Bought 2 of these for shipping our dogs from Germany to USA. Performed perfectly and handled the demands of 20 hours of crated Cairn Terriers. Easy to clean too. We travel with our dogs regularly and we always take these. Great value and peace of mind...Recommend!

Perfect for airline travel!
Used this pad inside the airline crate for my dog. He was in his crate for a flight from America to Scotland. It's perfect! Nice and soft and comfortable. My dog was in his crate and travelling for over 12hrs and I saw a small spot where it look like he relieved himself. It didn't smell and he wasn't wet. The removable cover is perfect for removing to wash and freshen it up. The dog still uses it now. He loves it! Thank you!

they need to hide the zipper better
I don't think it is the maker's fault about the zipper but the first time I left my 8 month old pup she got the velchro off unzipped the zipper and started to tear apart the foam I was gone for 2 hour's so was not a total disaster so now I have a pillow sham on it should have done that in the first place again my dog hate's it when I leave

Nice
Fit into the crate perfectly. The handler decided to take it out as it apparently shreds easily and they let her tear it up in the car on the way to the airport. I'd definitely get one again though.

I was disappointed in that there was about a 1 inch area ...
I was disappointed in that there was about a 1 inch area where seam was missed and not caught during inspection. I couldn't return it because we needed it the next day to go pick up our furry babies, so I hand stitched it myself. I am satisfied with the durable quality of the pad after 2 washes.

My dog loves it!
This is a great liner for the pet crate and removes easily for washing.

Why didn't someone think of this sooner???
Do you take your dog hiking in the rain or swimming and then load them into their crate in the car where they sit on a hard plastic or metal floored crate while puddles form beneath them? Do you have a pet who gets carsick, is ill and confined to crate, or elderly and is incontinent? This is essentially a pillow case that absorbs fluids, trapping them away from both the foam padding/mattress and your pet. This ensures that if ever your pet is wet, vomits or urinates in the crate, you don't end up with an unhealthy situation and an uncomfortable, soggy, smelly pet.The top is a quilted material that absorbs and holds liquid; the bottom is a vinyl/plastic. At one end there is a plastic, coil zipper (that opens for removing insert before washing) that intelligently extends a few inches down each side (eliminates 'stress' at either end of zipper, common cause of zipper failure), and even has a velcro tab that covers the zipper pull so that intrepid pets don't unzip and crawl inside!Yep, if not on sale, these ARE super pricey. Yep, I replace all the foam inserts with 2 or 3 inch quality memory foam (I have a LOT of animals...I buy memory foam mattress topper and cut them up to make extra thick, high quality foam inserts). Yep, basically I am paying a lot for a fancy pillow case. But, there is simply nothing else out there like this, it's either no crate pad, which is uncomfortable; pile in a bunch of towels, which is a pain, lumpy, and soggy; use a plastic or vinyl pad (that still leaks at the seams!) or KNOW you are going to be tossing out the soggy soiled bed.So, here is the trick, you can buy JUST the covers, and I highly recommend that you have at least one spare (if not several), especially if this is for an elderly or ill pet, that way you can easily strip off the soiled cover, slip a fresh, clean one over the foam insert, and toss the dirty cover in the wash. You can then use any foam for the insert; from an old pet bed, an existing crate pad, a camping foamy, a mattress topper, even your own bed pillow. They come in just about every size, for the tiniest of crates, to ones that are in excess of four feet. Really check the actual measurements carefully, there are a multitude of combinations of widths and lengths specifically customized to all common brands, styles and sizes of crates and kennels (if you cannot find your brand, carefully measure the "floor" of your crate, if you intend to replace the 1/2 to 1 inch thick foam, they are designed for, remember this will make the pillow case width and length decrease slightly to accommodate the extra thickness) so be thorough when choosing - a few inches or centimeters can make the difference between fitting and not fitting.Launder, unzipped, but with velcro closed (to ensure teeth do not get clogged with lint) in washing machine, cold or warm water, and hang to dry, the plastic backing on the bottom does not do well with dryer heat. They say they are good for 300 cycles. I own literally dozens of these, and have donated dozens more to rescue centers, my vet has them in every single hospital cage. I have only had one fail, the zipper broke, but to be fair, it was gnawed on by a teething puppy.***These are NOT chew or dig proof, at all. Do not use unsupervised if your pet is prone to this behavior.
