I just bought the digital edition PS5 would this version be compatible or is this a disc only?

Digital edition means you can only play it Digitally only. Meaning you bought it from playstation network store or you bought from Amazon.com and were given code to redeem the game on the psn to download the game. Physical version of the game means you have a copy of the game where you bought from the store or amazon.com. In conclusion if you have bought the Digital version of Sonic Frontiers. It doesn't matter if you have a ps5 disc version or Ps5 Digital version. Yes you can play the game if you do have the ps5 disc version. All you have to do is redeem your code on psn. Go to playstation store on your ps5 menu. Then when in the playstation store go to redeem code. Just put your code in and then confirm the version you want which is ps5 then download it. Once the game is done downloading all the nessary data it needs. Enjoy playing your game.

Can 2 people play this?

Sorry but no this is a single player game only. At this time there is no way to play as 2 players. You can only play as Sonic the Hedgehog only as of right now.
