Good Quality and Good Price for the Castor Oil and Vegetable Glycerin.
After being dissatisfied with the results of dry cuticle oils, I wanted to try castor oil on my cuticles (eponychium, actually) and on the skin around my nails, which gets dry and flaky and looks bad. I chose Aura Cacia because it is cold-pressed, organic, I like the products that its parent company produces (Aura Cacia is owned by Frontier Co-Op), and the price is a lot better than castor oil that is marketed as a beauty product. This is a generous 4-ounce (half-cup) bottle. The bottle is flexible; you can squeeze it. The oil comes out a hole in the top that has a little flap over it to prevent the oil from pouring out in large quantity.Castor oil is heavy and goopy, similar in consistency to olive oil, so it's not practical to leave it on my fingers for long during the day. I prefer to use it at night, slathered over my nails and surrounding skin, inside cotton gloves intended for moisturizing or skin treatments. The oil has more opportunity to soak in that way, though a lot of it ends up in the gloves. I've been pleased with the results. The skin around my nails is softer and more uniform in texture and color. I plan to try the castor oil on my eyebrows also, to see if it will help my thinning brows, but I fear the goopiness of the oil will make a mess of my sleep mask.I also purchased Aura Cacia's Vegetable Glycerin to use in homemade serums. Those with soy allergy should be aware that this vegetable glycerin is sourced primarily from soy. I am impressed by the selection and prices for Aura Cacia's body care oils. The company produces a lot of oils for massage but also classics like jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, hemp seed oil, and sweet almond oil. Their face oils, such as argan or rose hip oil, are more expensive than those from The Ordinary, but they offer Tamanu Seed Oil, Baobab Seed Oil, and Macadamia Oil. They also offer a variety of essential oils and mists, but those are not my thing.

Your Castor Oil literally changed my Life. THANKS!!!
#@%&* Eczema was wrecking my quality of life. It was entrenched, and spreading like wildfire up both arms, to the point I was embarrassed to go out in public with the raw, leathery skin and creepy-looking blisters! And the maddening itch - #@%&!!! YouTube saved me with someone recommending alternating Castor Oil treatments one night and a tub of Gentell A&D+E Ointment the next. The secret is SLATHERING it on thick, thick, thick using a double layer of 2 white cotton gloves (Amazon) during sleep. So glad the quality of your Castor Oil is obviously top-grade as your treatment proves it. Eczema now down to one tiny 1/2 inch patch!!! Even after a HUGE blister flare-up this formula drove it out in 2 weeks. Very thankful for your product - highly recommended !!!

It helps removing bandages
It helps when removing big bandages without pain. First time to use caster oil, but it seems quite gooey, more like gel than oil. No unpleasant smell and it works for me.

4 stars because of plastic bottle
Liked this castor oil a lot, but I’d prefer if it was available in glass bottle. The size is perfect for traveling.

Overall this has been a great skin care product for me .. I will be reordering as this has become one of my preferred oils.
I just finished my bottle of Aura Cacia Organic Skin Care Oil and I really liked the benefits I received from using it. I chose this one because it's organic and I was looking for a good quality oil to moisture my eczema flare ups. I also like the fact that 1% is given back to organic farmers and their communities.. ;) this organic castor oil is wonderful for using under the eyes and for thinning hair.. I've been researching about the benefits of this amazing oil and it has many.. such as helping with arthritic pain... If you want to use cayenne pepper for arthritic pain relief, castor oil is excellent for making a potent mix for local application. One more reason to add this oil to your health routine... Research has shown that patients who use abdominal castor oil packs have significant increases in the production of lymphocytes compared with patients using placebo packs. That is from Dr. Axe .. Lymphocytes are the immune system’s natural “disease-fighters” that attack outside invaders such as toxins, bacteria and other perceived threats.Overall this has been a great skin care product for me and I will be reordering as this has become one of my preferred oils. There are just so many health benefits.. another interesting tidbit.. ;) Many years ago the castor bean plant was referred to as the “Palma Christe” because the shape of the plant’s leaves were said to resemble the palm of Christ.Thank you Aura Cacia.. your oil is nice quality and you offer a good price..Cheers! Nice texture
Clean, easy to apply, thick and sticky but eventually it softens into skin and you don’t feel the stick anymore. I think it also helps with indigestion and gets things moving. I put it on my pain points and stomach and then had a bit of a day following. Less is more, no scent. Definitely do not put it on the roots of your hair because it will just become one big greaseball
