Love, Love Love!!! My rice cooker that I had for 20 years finally stopped working. I was sad to see it go. It truly was a work horse. After much research, I ordered the TLOG Mini Rice Cooker....and what a surprise. Not only is it perfect for our needs ( we are a 2 person household), it does so much more than cook rice. There is a steamer basket that cooks veggies perfectly tender crisp. It also handles cooked cereal beautifully. The unit is well made and easy to use. This is a keeper.

I got this product in the hopes it could serve as a good portable rice cooker to make brown rice energy efficiently on my power station. It is energy efficient, but it's just not good enough for my taste. It makes decent brown rice, but it doesn't make perfect brown rice. Plus it takes over an hour to make brown rice, I read another reviewer or a comment claim it was only like 40 minutes, nope... you're waiting an hour and change, something like 1 hour 5-10 minutes. So you're burning a touch over 200 watts to make a decent, though not great pot of brown rice. So I considered returning it, as it simply did not meet the needs I bought it for. HOWEVER, the big surprise was how good it did a pot of white rice, specifically my family's staple - Jasmine. I also tested Bismati, excellent Bismati as well. But it makes really good jasmine, and it does it very quickly, something like 35 minutes. The trick is to stir it right when it's done, put the lid on for a couple of more minutes, then serve. It is almost as good as my Zojirushi, but cooks in half the time. I ended up keeping it because it was a nice rice cooker to whip up a quick small batch with. So those days when you come home, don't have time to wait for the big rice cooker to finish cooking, going to order some Chinese take out or delivery, don't want to pay their rice mark up... start it in this thing, and rice will be done pretty close to when you're home with the take out or when it's delivered. Now a big draw back to it, in addition to nothing-special brown rice, is it doesn't cook half a cup. This is a limitation for a device that promises "no more left overs". 1 cup of white rice is too much for one person in one sitting for people who are following dietary guidelines or counting calories. This is really a missed opportunity, they should give it that functionality, it would make this device a lot more useful for things like that. Combined with a mediocre keep warm function, that is really only good for a few hours, and after that the rice gets hard on the bottom... a half cup function would be so perfect for this. Other things I like about it... it has a new fangled, non teflon non-stick pot. I really like it better. I wish more rice cookers would come with finishes like this, it's very nice. it cleans up super easy. All of the parts and components fit in the rice cooker for storage when it's clean, so you get a very nice, small foot storage foot print under the counter. Even though this fell short for me in the brown rice department, and doesn't do a half cup at a time, I still kept it because it is a super fast, easy to use and clean option for a family to have available, and it will definitely do the job on family camping trips. I still had to go out and get a more expensive rice cooker to do better brown rice, but if you haven't been spoiled by how well a high end rice cooker does brown rice, you will probably not notice with this as it is still better than the brown rice I've gotten out of those glass top, one button rice cookers. And again, the white rice it cooks, is very good quality, just don't leave it on keep warm for more than 2 or 3 hours. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but I'm giving it 4 because I really think the inability to cook half a cup is a serious drawback to a device in this class. The manufacturer should really add that functionality.

Let me just say that this little rice cooker packs a punch for just 2 people. Can easily feed 4 in one sitting no doubt. I am not too sure of some bad experiences that other reviewers had but, mine definitely sold me for this price point & versatility. Had this running on a Bigblue Cellpowa 500 solar powered generator with 48% of juice left in the system. Pulled a steady 225w continuously for about 25 - 30 minutes until completion, granted that I had 4 cups (cup that was provided) cooking Nishiki premium grade rice. So I did yield close to 2 actual cups of rice. The results of the rice from this cooker was chef’s kiss 🤌🏼 I did allow the rice to set for 10 minutes after it was finished cooking (stated in directions) & it came out the same as cooking it in my normal sized rice cooker. Evenly cooked, no crunchy rice, just perfection. Reason I did buy this was to run off of my solar power station in case of emergencies and to cook a small amount of rice quick for the wife & I without using too much power. Can’t speak on cooking other things but, I have read that ramen & other dishes can be made with great results. My key takeaways from this rice cooker: -Read instructions before utilizing the unit -Low wattage draw if you’re looking to save on power (225w continuous) time depends on amount of rice/dishes -Portable, easy to store, disassemble & clean -Value for your money -Do not overfill & you won’t experience spillage 🤷🏻‍♂️ -Great if you have limited space -Enjoy if you have one or already ordered one, you won’t regret it! Original 3 star review:] Really wanted to love this, almost did. Concept is on point. Pro’s: Size, Style & Multi function….Cons: The machine external heat (outside plastic housing) causes difficulty opening the lid and steam burns if not very careful. Price point too high. Unfortunately will be returning . :( Fixing hot top issue by changing steam release area and/or a handle attached to the lid and a lower price point. UPDATE:] this was the first instant rice cooker I ever tried. After returning it, I purchased other rice cookers and disliked them all for one reason or another. Though I still think the price point for this unit is a bit high, this machine varies in temp based on function (information in the questions area) and I love the size. I ordered another TLog unit and was excited to receive it yesterday. Unfortunately it was a used returned unit so I am returning it. I did however order another one that should be here in a few days. I decided to fix the hot lid issue by using a replacement silicone knob for pots n pan lids and use a heat resistant silicone or sticky tape to attatch to the outer lid. :) Also, In the questions area I asked about the yogurt function and unless I got a bad machine the yogurt button does NOT heat to 180 but will keep yogurt fermenting temperature. Either heat your milk on the stove or microwave to 180 degrees, inoculate, put in Tlog and press yogurt. If you don’t want to boil get a ultra filtered/ultra pasteurized milk like fairlife and you don’t have to heat to 180 first. 🌸

Bought it for my daughter in another state and she loves it. Cooks the rice really well a the is looking forward to using all of the features. She also likes the teal color offered as well.

Cooker is compact which is perfect for my small kitchen. 1 cup rice 2 cups water makes a perfect serving for 2! Tip - don't use metal spoons/forks to serve rice from the cooker bowl. Only use silicone/rubber etc. as it will prevent damage to the non-stick ceramic and keep it working for far longer. :)

After using this product for a couple months, I have to say it is one of my favorite appliances! I live in a space where I do not have access to a stovetop or a microwave, so I was looking for a product where I could use it to make rice, soup, ramen, pasta etc. -- basically act as a stovetop -- and this product has far reached my expectations:) A few pros: - It is compact, and as seen in images, completely contains all its accessories so I know that when I go to use it, everything I need for this item is, well, with this item:) -- v. convenient!! - Non-stick coating on the pot makes clean up, as well as pouring liquids out a breeze. - Every section comes apart for easy cleaning. ex. see photo of lid - Buttons/general body of appliance is very easy to wipe clean and hasn't stained despite me spilling tomato soup on it hahah - So good for camping!! I haven't taken it out yet, but given its low power requirement, and compactability, I will definitely be taking this out with my next time I go:) - As a single person looking to cook only 1-2 portions at a time, this appliance is incredible as it is the perfect size, and given the pot heats up so quickly, if I want to serve seconds, reheating my food with this item is very fast. - For making rice specifically, I have never had an issue. It has made me p good sticky rice :) Cons: - The tray that comes with it has holes throughout as seen in images. I wanted a solid base one, but if you throw a layer of tin foil down in the tin, its completely fixes that issue, imo. - Keep warm setting isnt incredible. It is good once you've made your food, and don't want it to explicitly keep cooking, but you plan to eat it soon. But as for setting it to warm and coming back hours later, I find it loses most of the heat. That said, if you flip it back to the soup setting, it warms up so quickly it really isn't an issue for me. Thanks for reading!! Der Reistopf hat eine sehr gute Beschichtung und der verwendete Kunststoff ist ausreichend hochwertig. Die Kochfunktionen sind einfach auswählbar und die unterschiedlichen Reissorten gelingen sehr gut und sehr lecker. Die Menge von 2,5 Messbechern reicht, ohne Magenknurren, für 5-6 Beilageportionen. 2 Becher genügen für eine große und sättigende Reispfanne mit etwas Fleisch(alternative) und Gemüse für 2 Personen.

Handlicher kleiner Reiskocher. Ich habe ihm etwas zweckentfremdet gekauft, um in der Hütte auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt warmes Essen zu haben. Sei es ein Gulasch, Reis mit Fleisch und Gemüse, oder eine Gemüse Pfanne. Je nach Gericht habe ich es vorgekocht und im Reiskocher aufgewärmt, oder direkt im Reiskocher gekocht. Das hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Im seinem eigentlichen Einsatzgebiet ist der Reiskocher aber auch sehr gut. Wenn man den Reis vorher abwäscht, ergibt es leckeren genau richtig zubereiten Reis. Es brennt nichts an und läuft nichts über. Nur die Wasserskala finde ich bei weißem Reis etwas großzügig gesetzt. Ich fülle das Wasser immer etwas niedriger als Messelinie ein.
