We felled around 80 trees over the past 2 years due to the emerald ash borer. Year one we did not have this awesome tool and moved, split, and stacked what bucked pieces we could. It was a lot but at night our backs paid the price. Year 2 I found this gem of a tool. The steel is hard and the tool really well built - I believe my neighbor will be buying one after he saw the quality - he wasn't impressed with anything offered locally. So far, granted not the full time, we have moved the same amount of wood as the previous year but without the price paid the first year. The biggest diameter log I have moved was about 26". Below a 4" diameter would probably be better served by picking it up by hand. The handle accessory would have been nice for rotating the big trunk but we made it through. Not sure how the accessories would enhance my experience with this piece of equipment. Looking forward to use it to finish out my year and for many years to come.

I've been using this regularly since I purchased it last month. It does a good job grabbing hold of logs and keeping hold of them. Really nice when you have logs sitting in a pile and want to grab one that's on the ground, sticking halfway out from under other logs! Keeps your hands cleaner as well as making it easier on your back. Takes some practice to toss logs out of it without it grabbing them as you try to toss them. I've found it best to give the Log Ox hauler a little spin as I toss the log from it, so centrifugal force will help keep its hook open and not let it grab the log again.Overall, I think I'm a little slower using the Log Ox than picking logs up by hand, but since I'm in a marathon (planning to keep processing firewood for the rest of my life) and not a sprint (move wood fast today, without regard for its wear and tear on my body), this works well for my goal. My 40something year old back (which is healthy overall) feels noticeably better at the end of an hour or two session of evening wood processing than it did before I bought this tool, so I look forward to the rest of this marathon!

I was skeptical, but this thing actually worked pretty well for what I needed it for.We cut out of pile, but can't always get a trailer right up next to it. I got it to carry the logs from the wood pile to the trailer so I wouldn't have to pick up the big ones and risk stepping in a hole or rock and twisting an ankle on my way back.Not only did it work as intended, I didn't expect it to make it easier to actually pull logs out of the pile.Some times the cut logs fall down into the pile, so it's kind of a hassle to bend over uncut logs to pull them out. This thing actually grabs pretty well, and makes it much easier to pull them out.The only drawback is that it almost grabs too well. It's a bit of a trick to release the logs, but it's not a big negative and didn't really slow me down after I got the hang of it.Also, I'll be interested to see how well it performs on logs without bark to grab to.If it wasn't so expensive, I'd buy two since it works so well!

This is very well built. Definitely a great tool. Love not having to bend down to pick up the log rounds. I’ve picked up 8 inch to 4 inch rounds so far.

I was skeptical at first, mainly due to the cost. But I truly wish I had bought it sooner. Total game changer when moving logs. I can now get the job done faster with far less back fatigue. So far have used it on logs from 4" to 18" in diameter.

Very handy for lifting logs into the splitter and moving blocks around. Saves my old back. Love this tool. Didn’t want to spend this much money but has been worth every penny.

I love this tool. I am 78 years old and I thought my days of cutting logs and splitting firewood were over because it was too hard for me to handle heavy logs. But this tool makes all the difference in the world. I can lift logs chunks without bending, and roll them over when needed. I highly recommend it.
