CandleScience Candle Scent Spa Collection Fragrance Sampler, 4 Bottles

I bought these fragrances when I just started making candles and was very pleased. I used one bottle (1 oz) for 1 pound of wax. The best smells in this group are the oakmoss & amber and then the peppermint & eucalyptus. The former smells warm and earthy and vaguely like an expensive men's cologne. The latter smells exactly like it sounds - but it's clean and refreshing, not overpowering. The fir tree smell is nice for Christmastime, but the 'spa day' is unpleasant. It smells very artificial and is reminiscent of a spray air freshener. Great quality product, though!

These oils smell great in the bottle but when you dilute them with oils the fragrance goes away. I heard a few drops would suffice, but I used 1/2 the bottle and still no fragrance.

I am always hesitant to buy scented things sight unseen (scent unsmelled?)- but the reviews were so positive I thought I would give it a try. I had bought a lot of soy wax flakes to try to make essential oil scented candles, but was not satisfied with the scent strength on them. I wanted to use up my soy wax, so I thought I would try these scents.I tend to enjoy herbaceous, green scents, and I (for the most part) loved these scents!Fig tree: slightly sweet, a hint of green, a little spicyPeppermint and eucalyptus: minty and warmOakmoss and amber: sweet and woodsy (smells like a man's cologne to me)Day at the Spa: this was the only one I didn't really like, and why it got 4 instead of five stars. This smells way too sweet and candy-like, almost berry-like. Didn't like it.

All the scents in this series (CandleScience Candle Scent Spa Collection Fragrance Sampler) are quite nice. I add a bit of the fragrance to a wax melter in my livingroom. It does seem that the fragrance "sweats" out after a long period of not being used (i.e., the fragrance begins to separate out from the wax and float on top), but this isn't really much of a problem for me.

The scents themselves are fine, but they weren't sealed well enough and a couple of the bottles leaked quite a bit by the time I received them. It was a real mess and I was disappointed when I opened the package.

Used these to make "bath fizzies" and they turned out great! Only needed a handful of drops for a batch of 12 mini-muffin size, and all of the scents are unique. I especially like the "Day at the Spa" with it's lemongrass/herb notes, but they're all nice. Tinted with a few drops of liquid soap colorant, they made wonderful "take aways" for a bridal shower.

There is no smell

I can't say enough about these candle fragrance oils! This sampler set is my favorite and have gone on to purchase larger quantities of these scents, especially Oakmoss and Amber! They have an amazing cold and hot throw (scent smell is strong when the candle is burning or not). I am not a fan of the darker bottles from the lighter bottle as it is difficult to see the amount left in them but that is the only flaw.~Pam
