This instrument is more feel than tech
Well, as a previous clarinet player, I had sounds immediately out the mouthpiece, I watched a couple videos and after messing with it it's clear this instrument requires a mouth feel, ans also a finger placement feel. You only get one octaive. So you probably need to David Gilmore , in pink Floyd the hell out of that octaive. Not Eddie van Halen. It's the movement, the mouth breathing, and possibly shaking the duduk . But it is immediately playable, I figured out the full range pretty fast. Once you get solid notes, I'd add sativa . Just my 2 cents.

A good & inexpensive way to start playing the duduk & shipping quickly
I thought I'd give the duduk a try after hearing one played at a concert. I've never played a reed instrument before (I'm mostly a flute player), so I wanted to get an inexpensive one to see if I liked playing it (or even could). Based on good reviews, I thought I'd give this one a try. The shipping window said it would take 3-6 weeks to arrive and it arrived in just one week! It came well packaged and the items were essentially what's shown in the photograph (just simpler ornamentation on the flute). The directions included were not terribly useful, but you can find what you need online. It took me a couple days to get the reeds opened just right and the correct blowing to be able to get a sound out of it, but once I did, it's been pretty fun to play. (I enjoyed having the included flute to play during that time.) If I keep at it, I'm sure I'll want a more professional one, but this has been a good inexpensive place to start with the instrument.

Missing Armenian engraving
It's great! The only complaint i have is that it's missing the writing in Armenian. In the picture product is shown with nothing English & Armenian writing but purs came only with English. It was a gift to my daughter's music teacher since she's his first and only Armenian student. It's kind of disappointing. Other than that its beautiful

Quality Starter Instrument
I don't own a nice Duduk, and before today, never ever played one. But I can say that after receiving this starter instrument, I spent all of 10 minutes figuring out how it worked with the help of some YouTube videos before I was able to play the Lullaby from Narnia. Simple, beautiful instrument, and my reeds came in just fine. Great sound, recommend.

This is a great sounding instrument
This is a great sounding instrument, beautifully put together with a precision and passion that you can feel as well as hear. The two included reeds are excellent. One will not be disappointed in this duduk at all.If you're new to this instrument you'll find there is more to it than simply blowing into it, but with a little practice you'll soon be making soulful music!

Wonderful instrument.
Better have great endurance and lung strength.Otherwise, sub the mouthpiece with a clarinet mouthpiece. (Requires woodworking skill level 5.)
