Excellent quality kite, light yet sturdy. NOT bulletproof; will deteriorate over several months use.
Very realistic gull printed on very durable material. Wing spar is tough yet flexible enough to provide a lifelike movement. (Recommend taking down from display if winds go over 10-12 knots) I use this as a deterrent for seagulls who seem to enjoy nesting and leaving those large deposits on my canvas covers on the boat. Not a foolproof fix, but a real improvement. This is our second "Jonathan". Update 8/21: Jonathan II lost wing and spar; suspension line severed the wing. Will try once more and reinforce wear points.

These don't seem to hold up well...but we really love them. We live in Maine..and this seagull fits right in.

Got this in March... loved it in my backyard and we do not live at the ocean. Here it is May, only 3 months and it was shredded to pieces!!! What a piece of junk. I am so disappointed and for what it cost it should last!!!

They love it, I love it
My in laws used to have it, theirs deteriorated after several years of use, it wasn’t really camping when they stopped flying it. So I got it to replace the old one. They love it, I love it, it’s like camping again.Funny thing is sometimes when we’re camping people will stop at our camp site and say that we have a bird stuck on a fishing string or that the bird is trying to land on us, hahaha, great way to talk to people too. Thumbs up on this one.

Looks great, hours of fun!
I purchased the Jackite Sea Gull after a friend of mine showed me the ones he had purchased several years ago. From a distance these look and fly pretty realistic and provide hours of fun and amusement! Mine arrived in a cardboard tube and was fairly easy to put together, especially if you follow their instructional video on Youtube. It took about 15 minutes or so to assemble and have it up and flying. The construction seems good and it is made of tyvek which should hold up, even in heavy wind. It seems a bit pricey for what you get, but if it last for years like my friends did it will be well worth the money! If you are a little OCD like I am, some of the minor flaws might bother you such as the print being slightly off, or the tail curling up more on one side than the other, but my wife says it adds character and it definitely helps with the erratic flying that makes it look more realistic in the air. The one disappointment is that it takes a fair amount of wind to get it to fly, so if you are expecting it to soar in light wind or breezes you are out of luck. I purchased a telescopic 29' fiberglass pole and attached it with twelve feet of 40lb. braided fishing line a swivel on the pole, and it works great in heavy breezes and wind. I decided to take it out on my boat and fly it while cruising around the lake. The lake has lots of seagulls and they flock to this thing like it is real, which is not only a blast to watch but a good conversation piece as well. I have been asked several times what it is called and where did I get it? My granddaughter loves the thing and spends hours outside watching it. So, if you are looking for something that will bring hours of entertainment for minimal expense, this is it, just don't expect it to soar without a really good breeze!

Easy to assemble and fun to watch!
The media could not be loaded. We love our seagull kite and the pole. We are the only ones on our lake that has one but I have a feeling that is going to change because we have had lots of questions where we got it. Cars drive by and people point-it’s just fun!

Do NOT buy this to use as a Windsock!
We bought this after our neighbor got one. It looked so real. Unfortunately, it soon started to deteriorate. It ripped in key locations and the pictures show the results! Our neighbor also is pretty upset, as his became useless as ours did. The only reason to buy this beautiful graphics display, is to use it as a mobile (high up enough so you do not see the crummy hardware, etc. Anyways, we are so disappointed that we have to warn others. It is way overpriced, poorly made, and Amazon should be ashamed for selling it!
