It was pretty easy to install this. I put 1 1/2 of these sets up over my standalone bathtub last week. I took a large piece of cardboard, I laid inside of my tub on my back with the cardboard over the tub, and drew around the edges of the bathtub to create an exact pattern of the inside perimeter. I cut out the outline and then held it to the ceiling above my bathtub and traced the outline onto my ceiling. Next, I used a Sharpie to dot 12" apart all around the diagram on the ceiling. I drilled a hole into each dot, then hammered in an anchor.Then I screwed the cartridges into the anchors. I snapped the rail from one of these kits into the cartridges all around and then measured the gap I had between the two ends, which was 21 1/2". I used a hacksaw to cut the rail in the second kit to fit that space and then snapped the second piece in to close the gap. Next, I clicked the rings into place - 24 of them. I bought 2 shower liners and 2 fabric shower curtains at my local store and I bought 24 shower curtain rings to attach the curtains to the rings. I LOVE the way it looks! I have an ultra modern tub and wanted something that didn't look like Grandma's old bathtub - and this was terrific.I am a 58 year old woman and my husband had been doing so much of the work on this bathroom remodel that I decided I was going to do this project myself. I actually got my secretary to help me, although she was handing me the tools and I did the work. I was pleased that I was able to do this project myself. It took us 2 hours to complete. I may have my carpenter brother put up something to hide the rail from view down the road, because it isn't a rail that is necessarily built to be seen, but for now I'm tickled with the way it turned out.

Does the job. A bit of a handful to handle- you will have to micromanage contours for fit.
