Great for sports bottles
I use these on my bike in hot conditions. I can fill my bottle mostly with these ice sticks and then fill the remaining space with cold water. In this manner, I have cold water available later on in my ride. Works much better than crushed ice in the bottle and certainly way better than those 'half moon' shapes common in ice makers in the refrigerator. I don't really use the latch/door that the top has, though. Just easier to take the top off, fill it up and put the top back on. If you are considering this vs. the silicon ones that are on the market, by all means get this type. The silicon once are a pain to get the cubes out.

Good Ice Tray
I have purchase several ice trays from the Joie line. This particular ice tray is not silicone, which I thought before I purchased it. Instead it is a hard plastic, but surprisingly works well. Itβs easy to remove the ice, and it is perfect for water bottles. The only downside is that if the ice tray is not filled up properly then ice will be uneven and will break upon taking it out. But other than that it works fine.

easy to use, great for sports bottles
We initially were a little bummed that this was rigid plastic instead of soft silicone, but it only took one batch of ice to make us believers. It turns out that a small flex is all that's needed to loosen the sticks, and a poke with a finger is enough to slide each one of them out of the tray. The snap-on lid makes it easy to fill the tray and distribute water to all molds without spilling water -- just rinse it when you are refilling the tray so it doesn't fog and keep you from seeing what the heck is going on beneath it. ;-) Our tray has been in heavy use for nearly a month and we love it!

Just what I needed for my narrow-neck water bottle
The aluminum highly-insulated water bottles that are so popular have, in my opinion, one big flaw: they have such a narrow neck that ice cubes won't fit! This little tray is perfect for long narrow cubes. You can fill it with the cover on, which makes transporting it to the freezer spill-free. Twist to loosen the ice, and you can push on one end of the ice sticks and they pop out easily. It easily fits in my tiny office freezer. They don't offer a choice of colors -- they sent red, which is vibrant and fun.

A little difficult
The water filled up and stuck to the top so it was kinda hard to take off and get the ice out.

Perfect for take along water bottles
These little ice cubes for take along water bottles are perfect. They fit just right and pop out for easy use. Each tray holds 9 ice sticks which last along time with the insulated bottles. I have 3 of the trays on rotation in my freezer.

Not great
The lid will not click on, by the time you have carried to the freezer you have dropped half the water!!

Nope!
It would be a great product if the top would fit better. After filling you have to release some water as it stays to the underside of the lid and if you freeze it like that you will not be able to remove the top. And forget about putting the lid on after you fill the tray. Nothing about this product deserves five stars. Only 2 stars for quality of the plastic. 3 stars removed for workability of the product.
