A masterful working through the complexities of an interesting sequence of an elegant fraud
Deception, both personal and professional, binds together the double-helix plot of this engaging novel about the entwined fortunes of an up-and-coming editor, a troubled actor and a struggling writer. Human flaws and strengths are blended in these characters with so light a touch that readers cannot help but empathise with each one, even as they deplore their actions. These actions drive events in a tightly woven causal chain - but one which, nevertheless, cunningly defies readers’ expectations until the very end. Those in search of a tense page-turner will not be disappointed therefore; yet this book succeeds for subtler reasons. The two contrasting accounts of rejection, for instance – twin pillars upon which the structure rests – are, each in its own way, small masterpieces with that peculiar blend of poignancy and comedy which characterises the best of English writing.Indeed, those are the qualities that mark out this compelling portrayal of life in the fast lane and the slow lane, the lies we tell others and ourselves, ambition and thwarted dreams. Emotionally charged it is, yet this is a book for those seeking, not the usual “off the peg” cheap sensation, but rather the rarer satisfaction of a well-crafted story of our time, told with humour and grace.I hope we hear more from this talented young author whose wry, distinctive voice has a charm all of its own.

Fantastic Read!
Fraud is yet another brilliant book written by the Author Peter Davey. I always enjoy his work so knew this one wouldn't disappoint. I don't like giving too much away in reviews so will keep it simple. If you're looking for a stocking filler this would be perfect! Buy it ,read it, Love it :-)
