Satin-Lined Rosewood Keepsake Box with Silver Plated Birth Certificate Holder, First Tooth and First Curl Boxes

I gave this as gift for my friend's 6 month old boy. Jim's eyes popped out when he saw it. When he showed it to his girlfriend, the boy's mother, she was also amazed by the concept of birth certificate, curl and first tooth holder. At first, he wanted to have it engraved but I was concerned. These items are silver plated. Simply put, you don't know what metal is beneath the surface. I suggested having a small plaque engraved and affixed to the case. I also suggested placing a small piece of paper in the curl and tooth holders indicating the date each item was placed inside. When I was born in the mid-fifties, I received silver spoons for my birth. I have two and appreciated each one. However they are not very practical and I have no knowledge as to who gave them to me. This gift, on the other hand, has a very practical function. Each holder has something special the recipient will enjoy and cherish forever.

The rosewood Keepsake Box is beautiful!! The quality is superb. I have bought several silver plated birth certificate holders in the past for my other grand children but none with such a beautiful box. If I had known about them then, I would have bought one with the keepsake box. It is so rich looking. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this gift item.

A must have for sentimental people

This was purchased as a baby shower gift and created quite a show. The box is very nicely made, and the silver items inside are very beautiful. The mom-to-be was very happy to receive a gift that can be passed down to her child as a treasured keepsake.

I got this for a Christening gift and it was a hit. My cousin had a really good idea for the engraving that I also liked because I did not have time to get the gift engraved she thought it would be cool to engrave the date the baby had his first haircut and the day he lost his first tooth instead of his name of the holders. I thought that was something that was kind of cool and unique for the gift and also something that would make the gift all that much more special for the child as he grew older.

This is the perfect gift for a new baby. Babies and Mom receive so many items at their baby shower that are for use NOW.....this is a nice gift so they can store their birth certificate NOW and then the first tooth and first curl as they grow.

This has been very disappointing for me. I ordered this for my grandson's baptismal gift and was sad to see that the plexi-glass was broken. Amazon made the return process very easy, but I had to re-order, since the Amazon box was not damaged and therefore not qualifying the purchase for an even exchange. I re-ordered, and sure enough ... the plexi-glass is broken - this time in the corner, under the box. Surely, the third time will be the charm? I like the item very much - I purchased one for my first grandson a few years ago. The company needs to figure out a way to box it so it isn't damaged.
