Finding a cost effective data plan from your carrier with a reasonable cap.
There's no need to install the app or other "connect software. Logging into the device via 10.11.12.1 on your browser is all that's needed. Setup is easy and the device recognizes whether the installed firmware needs updating. Sometimes it may take upgrading more than once to get the latest version, otherwise, setup worked well. Device works as advertised. The Connect 2.0+ also eliminates the need for my crank-up antenna.

Does not work without purchasing additional service - charge for return shipping
I purchased this item thinking it could be used to amplify the signal but after receiving, I contacted WineGard only to learn that I must purchase additional service. I requested a refund but it was not free returns. I had to pay to return the item. Be aware that if you need to return to WunderCarParts, they will charge for returns.

Don't waste your money on this product or company, terrible on both accounts
Do not waste your time or money on this product and company. Purchased my RV new on April 10, 2021 with this product preinstalled. Used the rv for the first time this year the weekend of May 10, 2023 and noticed the antenna was not working. During this period we used our rv approximately 5 times per year for 3-4 days each time, so I basically got a maximum of 40 days use from this Winegard product. Checked the connections and the voltage to the dome and all were as they should be. After googling issues (which there are a lot of with all Winegard products) and troubleshooting this product, everything indicated that the antenna unit was defective. We do not use the wifi capability of this unit as I was never able to figure out how, directions are awful, see other reviews. Contacted customer service on May 22, 2023 and sent them my bill of sale as requested from when we purchased the rv. They contacted me and said that there was nothing they could do as the 2-year warranty had expired and I would have to purchase a new unit for $400 plus dollars. The warranty was expired by approximately a month and this was the first time that we had used the rv this year, I guess I should have tried the antenna in March before the warranty period expired to see if it was still working. Explained all this to them and they said that it was their policy and they couldn't deviate from it. Asked to speak to a supervisor and explained all this to him and he stated the same thing. This is a very poor product with many bad reviews from a company that does not stand behind its products. Poor product, terrible customer service, and an even worse company to deal with. I could go on and on about this product and Winegard in general but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a Wifi-Antenna solution for your rv travels. Talked to an rv dealer and he told me that just that week he had 2 customers come in and asked them to completely remove their Winegard units and seal the holes due to issues with this product and company. Stay away from Winegard!

Gets great, fast 4G LTE support for WIFI on my RV
Yes, it was difficult to get started. My owner's manual didn't have the password and internet sources didn't help. I finally called the factory and somehow, they retrieved the password. Initially, I used ATT togo. It was expensive so I changed to Consumer Cellular (CC). CC uses the same towers and network as ATT but at a much cheaper price. The ConnecT 2.0 can be frustrating, sometimes, using the app, it freezes but still provides WIFI service. After the last update, in July 2022, it now responds much faster. I changed the password to something easier to remember. It actually provided good connections to four people each using their own device for Zoom meetings. It worked for more than 6 hours without interruptions. Yes, huge amounts of data. CC actually shut my service off even though I had paid for "unlimited" service. I had to wait until the next month to get them to restart the Winegard.Other reviewers switched to another brand of hotspot, now there are quite a few available and at much lower prices. For me, I'll stick with the winegard ConnecT 2.0

The WiFi and Bluetooth forever loop
The never ending connect loop, this thing is too hard to get connected and working. It is in my rv and when I try to use it has to be completely connected all over again. Waste of money

Total waste of your time & money
People have taken the time to post some very detailed, negative reviews on Amazon (please take the time to read them, they are true). I have been messing with my Winegard ConnecT 2.0 for almost 2months now and have decided to give up on it. In some very rare cases it does manage to pick-up a useful Wi-Fi connection, but like I said, that's very rare. My last attempt to use this piece of junk included purchasing a new data plan / SIM card from Verizon. I installed it and after an hour or so of working with the clunky Winegard interface and App I got it to work. My download speeds were less than 1 MBPS. No way I could even come close to streaming Netflix, Prime, Peacock, Paramount+, or anything else with these snail slow speeds. I spent most of the day on the phone with the Winegard Tech Support trying to resolve the issue, but in the end they blamed the slow download speeds on Verizon. I had already tried the Verizon SIM in another device, which worked fine, so I already knew that the Winegard was the problem. I had to cancel the Verizon service / SIM that was purchased for the Winegard and I upgraded the Verizon service on my Apple iPhone so I can use it as a hotspot for my Smart TV in my B Class RV. Now I wish that I could take the Winegard unit off of my RV with leaving any scars (not possible). Do yourself a favor, save your time and money and pass on the purchase of the Winegard ConnecT 2.0.

Doesn't work
Waste of money. Messed around for months ... go with Verizon hotspot instead - works great.
