Great robe!! 5'8" and it hits the floor!!
I have had this robe for about 2 weeks now and I LOVE IT! I am about 5'8" and 210 pnds. It hits the floor for me (yayyyyy). There is PLENTY of room in this. I purchased the 2X/3X and when I go to tie the inside strings, they tie together at the base of the strings - there is plenty of material left over. A smaller size probably would have fit but I love having the extra material. I washed it as soon as I got it. Dummy me washed it with a couple of other items (towels and washclothes) and they had lint all over them that I had to scrape off w/a little gadget made just for that. There wasn't a ton of lint in the dryer filter but it will get balls of lint on anything you wash it with so I'd recommend washing it by itself. I wanted a VERY heavy duty bathrobe, I like something warm, absorbent and heavy when I get out of the shower. When I first opened this, I was disappointed because it felt much lighter weight than what I was hoping for. It's not light weight at all - more "medium" - but I was looking for HEAVY WEIGHT. That being said, when using it for the first time out of the shower it was love love love. It's much warmer than I thought it would be - probably because this one goes down to the floor and doesn't stop at my calves as my previous robe did. And it is super absorbent. I don't use a towel for drying off - I want a robe that will absorb the water for me and this does that well. The sleeves are quite long - they go almost to my finger tips when I have my arms down at my side - which I love. There are two different options for the loop holes so it will work whether you are high OR short waisted. I really love this robe and would definitely order it as a gift - not sure it will still be around by the time I need a new one, this one feels like it will be around for years to come ;)

I loved the feeling of warmth like a blanket wrapped around ...
I remember when I was younger, my mom had a chenille robe. Sometimes she would let me wear it. I loved the feeling of warmth like a blanket wrapped around me. I have not been able to find a similar robe until I ordered this one. I found that it was $20 cheaper right after Christmas, so I' was glad I waited. Based on the reviews I had read, I chose the white so I wouldn't have to deal with color runs. I would have preferred a pastel color that wasn't available. I ordered a size larger than was recommended for my 5'5", 150 pound body; instead of a large, I ordered an extra large, just because sometimes clothing runs small, and I wanted to be sure this went to the floor and was long on my arms, and wasn't tight around my body; loose and comfy was what I was shooting for. I could have ordered the Large after all; the extra large is quite big on me, but I'm not complaining. The fabric is thick, it is long, it wraps, and I haven't witnessed the shedding other reviewers mentioned. I love it. I told my sisters and expect they will be ordering one too. Go for it.

Pleasantly surprised!
I'm very picky about chenille and this is heavy and good quality. My husband ordered the s/m fuscia for my birthday. Fuscia was the only color that could be delivered by that date. Igenerally wear a small or medium in pants/skirts and this fits perfect other than it gaps a little at the bottom even though the overlap wrap at the waist is considerably more than 6" and I'm not hippy.. i roll the sleeves about 3" to get the right length. The color is pretty much as shown - eye popping hot dark pink. Not a color I would have picked, but turns out I like it. All in all very pleased with the robe and husband! We'll see what happens after the first wash (robe not husband. He's been washed many times and comes out the same each time!)

Good quality, color off
So I will start with my size. I am about a size 18 and 5'8" tall. All of the reviews I read all said runs large fit me well and I couldn't find any that said their size. With that said. I ordered the large/xlarge. It fits me well for the most part. I can wrap the robe so it over lays about 6" or so, if it shrinks it won't fit. The sleeves are wide and long, I can fold them back for about a 3" cuff. The length is perfect to the top of my feet. Given I carry my weight in my abdominal and breast area the robe doesn't overlap at my ankles, not sure if that makes sense. I like a roomy robe and I fear the next size would be huge. I bought this to replace the same style of chenille robe that I have had for about 25 years. It was too small and worn out in places (loved the robe). The last thing is the color, I ordered what to me looked like teal green, it is not! More like a kelly green as someone mentioned in another review. I will keep this robe as the quality is great. The sizing is odd and color not depicted well in photo. Update: I did return it for the next size up. The fit was way better. It gave the roomy robe I was looking for. I ordered the fuchsia and it is exactly as shown.

This is a great robe for a good price!
The robe (L-XL) is too big for me but I can easily cut and hem the long sleeves and the extra length. I usually wear a size 12-14 pants or dress, but robes in those sizes don't always close in the front with ample overlap of the front pieces. Thus, the robe will be perfect for me when it is altered. The Chenille is soft and cuddly and far superior to other fabrics I looked at for bathrobes. I am going to follow a suggestion that another reviewer posted for this robe by cutting the loose tie belt in half, opening up the side seams of the robe, and sewing one half into the seam of each side. That way, I don't have to worry about losing the belt, having it drag on the floor, or threading it through the loops on the robe. Even another reviewer mentioned the dark colored robe ran some color in the wash, so I bought a white robe and will just be very very careful to not stain it, or if I do, treat the stain immediately.
