Great value for money, the chicks love it.

Quail loved this! Had to order this product as I ran out of food for my quail chicks originally. They loved the food the only issue with the food is that it is still too big for the quail to eat therefore you will need to crush it down slightly you can do this with a pastel and mortar or with a blender. It is very easy to crush very easy to use and the overall quality of the chick crumb is great!

This chick crumb was bought for my older chickens rather than baby chicks, and they took to it straight away. The crumb is a good fine size which made it easy for them to eat, and they seemed to enjoy it every time I put some out. The 2kg bag also lasted a decent amount of time for the amount I was feeding, so it worked out reasonably well for the money. I can’t comment on how suitable it is for newly hatched chicks, but it worked well for my older chickens and I would happily buy it again.

Hugely disappointed to have discovered grain/flour mites in this feed!!! This has now infested my mealworm farm - as I'd fed some to them as well as the ducklings the crumb had been purchased for - AND my utility room, where the crumb was being stored whilst the ducklings are indoors under heat. I've had to throw a substantial amount of our own produce away, spend hours cleaning, and - having put significant effort into growing my mealworm farm, I'm likely going to have to destroy much of that too, if not all. Feed itself has been suitable and effective for the growing ducklings (I think protein content has seen an uplift if the nutritional information is correct), but the situation I'm left with as a result of the mites is most unsatisfactory and upsetting.
