If I am giving a presentation can I use it to record and follow me as I’m moving around?

You can set points for the camera to pan but it doesn’t automatically track you. I attached my ronin gimbal and used active track and it follows me but the slider itself won’t track.

What's the right length to buy? I prefer this for talking head interview shots for a parallax background.

Will depend mostly on the focal length you're using. The wider (12-35mm) you'll need a longer, the longer (75mm+) the shorter.

Does the motion automatically go back and forth, repetedly until stopped by user? If so, is there any easeing before it reverses direction?
