100% Recommend!!!
Excellent! 100% Recommend!!! Great fit, super secure, easy to take on & off. Being in Fl, I think this lock holds up well in rainy weather. Nothing is fool proof but this is some heavy duty security without breaking the bank. Speaking from experience, some of the pricey competition is not as secure as this one.

Great lock. Keys suck
I absolutely love the lock. Feels nice and secure and solid when I connect it to my trailer. However the biggest setback to this are the keys. They absolutely suck. I've had two keys break on me already. I'm not hard on my equipment at all. They both broke while simply trying to unlock it. That must be why they give you so many extra keys. But what happens when I run out of extra keys.

Nice Lock
Simple to use. Hopefully it will deter a potential thief, but if they really want it.... There are other travel trailers in the storage unit without locks, so easy pickin's.

Great Trailer Lock!
I have lots of trailers and have used all different kinds of locks over the years from homemade to all kind of fancy ones. This is not my favorite. It is tough and it is double protected. It is geared on both sides of the slide in shafts whereas all the rest only have gears on one side. The benefit of having it on 2 sides is it would require someone to have to cut both sides off of it to get it off. This thing will not cut with a hack saw or sawzall the only way you can get through it will take a grinder and those are loud and throw a ton of sparks that you can see a mile away. For the Price you can't find a better trailer lock on the market.

Great Lock to keep lazy criminal types from getting your trailers with many different hitch designs.
Had a different major brand before that unbelievably fell apart from a slight bump so went looking for something a little more secure. Found this & have had good luck with past Trimax products so decided to give it a try. I have a few different types of trailers which it fit all well. I really don't like the tubular key since I know it is easily defeated but you do have to know how & most criminal types aren't very smart anyway. Now the lock is beefy & has held up so well over a year I recently purchased a second one. I tried to remove it by hand & couldn't which is more than I could say for the previous junk I had. I didn't beat on it but it seems like it will hold up good to most attacks. I think Locks only keep the generally honest & lazy criminal types from getting your items anyway. If someone wants you protected item bad enough no lock will prevent them IMO.

Insurance Company Approved
Hardened steel shafts wouldn't be easy to cut, and a thief would need to cut both shafts to remove the device from the hitch. Insurance company approved which is the important thing to consider, cheap units generally are not approved by insurers as a legitimate tow hitch security device. Be mindful when buying a hitch lock that there is little point of skimping on a cheap hitch lock to secure a significantly priced asset! I do not see the point!

Good and solid
Easy to put on and feels heavy duty, would take a lot to saw through and to big for bolt cutters!

Secures both the trailer and propane tanks
After doing a little bit of asking around and looking at what others purchased for their railer tongue lock, I decided to try the UMAX100. So far it has worked well and no body has stolen our trailer! I realize that the lock was designed, or believe it was designed so that the safety chains can be locked into the metal bar, to make it harder for thieves. Instead I ran a 6' bike lock cable through the propane tanks, looped it back through one loop end, then locked the other loop in the Umax100 lock. I'm sure if somebody really wants the propane tanks they'll get them, but it does provide some protection and gives me piece of mind when away from the trailer. So far no rust but did put a couple squirts of silicone lubricant in the lock to help with moisture and corrosion. Unfortunately the pics do not show the cable lock loop in the UMAX100, but hopefully you get the idea how it just slips over the meat chrome bar when unlocked, then is secured when the lock is on.

We like the product, looks to be very durable and quality. Fits many of our tongues on the bigger trailers where the other looks fit poorly or sit sideways and they can be pried off. The only major pitfall of this lock is in the winter. I’ve encountered multiple there where the lock is frozen and it cannot be opened. Luckily our trailer was in an open area so we were able to put our exhaust from our truck beside the lock to thaw it out which took ~3 minutes. There has to be a better solution that doesn’t not freeze the lock in the winter
