Q: Description mentions up to 3.5” diameter bottle can fit. In one of the answers here, the width is stated as 3". Will a 3.5" bottle fit in 3"?!

I wouldn't attempt it. It is a 3" opening and when I bent mine under the slightest pressure, the weld failed. I have a picture in my review and I think there are better choices out there.

Q: On the 13.99 version... What is distance from the center of the bottom mounting hole, to the very bottom of the cage. Thanks.

It's approximately an inch. It's a little difficult to measure in place. The bottom of the cage is not perpendicular to the frame of the bicycle, and the side away from the frame tube extends a little lower than the mounting side. Hope that helps.

It must be an add. There is no air pump with my water bottle holder.
