If youre considering it, GET IT
What I like & dislike ? What I dislike ..... The volume & tone pots dont feel very quality . Not bad, its whats expected on a "budget" guitar. Works fine,Im just being critical. They arre NOT cts Im sure. But they work fine, for now. If u dont be too rough with the knobs Im sure it will last a long time WhatI like now: Eveereything. . Packaging was nice, sealed in a styrphoam sleeve thing to prevent dust etc .... Took it out, shocked at the beautiful finish & woodgrain & style. Then impressed with the weight. Then impressed how balanced it is. .Upon playing it, Impressed with how good it sounds & even has good sustain. . As far as balance gooes ......No annoying Neckdive. The neck feels like it has some heft, but yet very comfortable. Like a mild C shape. Unfinished neck feels good in the hand. Frets feel Right with no sharpness or anything noticable. Just plays better than expected. . To sum it up, if this were a 200.00 guitar, Id say GET IT. Instead its just obver a hundred, the cord is a cheapo, the amp havent even played it so I dont know, havent toched the gigbag . .All i know is ........... This GlarryGib 4 string bass has impressed me, Love it. Just feels good playing it. I dont care what name is on the headstock. As it is Id feel confident taking this out and playing a live gig with it, No problem.

Quality Bass Guitar and Amplifier for the price
The guitar has a beautiful finish. I performed a "setup" prior to playing and found the following. The truss rod was adjusted properly. The string heights were set correct for the fret radius. Fret heights were flat and no buzzing notes. No frets were to long or sharp ends sticking out. Top nut was properly trimmed. Tuning and comtrol knobs all worked smoothly. It stays in tune very well. Intonation was almost perfect. As good as it could be with new strings. Action height was lower than expected but played clean notes on the entire fret board after tuning. Very easy to play. Amplifier has good volume for a small room and tone range was deeper than expected for its size. Gig bag, guitar cable, pick and adjustment tools are included. A great combo for the price. Suitable for beginners and experienced players as well.

Don't buy it just for the amp. Buy a good amp outside this kit.
The guitar itself was nice. Decent weight for what it is, play out of the box? Finish was good, color was as expected, but other color choices would've been nice too. Yeah, just tune it, stretch the strings, set intonation, all the usual stuff when you buy a budget guitar. The little amp though, was a different story. It was supposed to be 20 watts.... I didn't see that, but I've never bought a small amp like that. It also had a mid-sounding hum that was constant, and didn't stop after warmup either. Do yourself a favor. If you don't already have an amp, buy one. Amazon has a 100-watt Peavey bass amp for around $299. Worth checking out. Overall, I'd say unless you're just learning bass, the best use of this unit is to mod it. Choose and get your preferred components and build it out. You could easily build a rockin' jam machine with this body, neck and your parts for well under $300. $5-600 in parts and now you're standing with the pros.

Actually, quite impressed
For the price I am very impressed with this base. It plays well and has a very good sound. I have a little buzz but that might be from my 40-year-old PV amplifier sounds the base sounds rich in tone with a crunchy sound for the price I am very happy. Practice amplifier isn’t really too terrible either. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase.

Great quality
This bass guitar is everything and more that all the reviews say it is. Finish is absolutely flawless and the sound is amazing. And it came a week early, that was a great surprise. I plan to buy a six string from Glarry soon.

This was a gift. I do not know how well it plays.
This guitar looks beautiful. I had to open the box and check the contents because it arrived a bit mangled. The manufacturer packaged this thing well, Styrofoam all around and did not get damaged during transport. I got a little jealous knowing I was giving it away. That and I don't play Bass anyways. The only thing this kit is lacking is a stand and a tuner. Everything else you need is in this one long box. Only comes with one pic, but I think most Bass players don't use them, but I don't know.

Not bad for an inexpensive instrument
I was playing the bass guitar a little bit this morning, the neck is straight, the tuning heads are a little sloppy, but still OK. All the volume and tone pots work correctly. I haven't tested the amp that came with it since I have a good quality recording studio setup which has guitar and bass amps included with it. Overall a good package for a beginner who wants to learn how to play bass guitar Edit: I plugged in the included amp for the first time today. I have a small room, so the small amp is perfect for my small room
