Quarton Laser Module VLM-650-03 LPA (ECONOMICAL DOT LASER)

I replaced a burned-out laser guide in my chop saw (Porter Cable/Delta 3802L). Fairly easy replacement. This laser is bright and focused. The saw's power supply worked great - very little messing around with wiring was required. The original laser ($105 to replace !!) gave a line, this replacement laser is only a point of light, but it falls exactly where you need it - where you want to cut.

It's a red laser pointer. Works all right.

While it works fine, it does not display a dot it’s a really short line. Functions fine for what I need but not what I was expecting.

I was using this as a pointer from my garage ceiling to a specific place on my dash when the car was parked in exactly the right place. Worked great for about 3 weeks, then the light output dropped to maybe 10% of what it was, and it's now useless.
