Firstly, great service from Direct Digi Sales. Unlike a lot of companies selling this type of item, they are based in the UK and answer questions extremely quickly.This is a great DVR and excellent value for money. I would qualify that by saying that I have quite a bit of experience with DVRs and accessing them remotely, so I haven't actually referred to the supplied documentation and cannot comment on its quality. The Internet Explorer web viewer is a little 'buggy' in that it will not successfully download recorded clips. Not a real issue because you can copy to a USB stick on the DVR.I have not used the supplied mobile viewing software as I don't necessarily regard 'easy' as the best solution. For phone and tablet viewing, I've used IP Cam Viewer (available for iOS and Android). You will need a little bit of experience configuring your router and also sign up for a Dynamic DNS Service, but it's the best way to go (in my opinion).Forward the web port (default is 80), control port (34567) and mobile port (34599) to the DVR's IP. On IP Cam Viewer, you want (Unknown Manufacturer) for the make and (Unknown Brand) DVR-9008HV w/ Cell Port for the model.Works a treat and you can't go wrong for the money.

Picture quality is very good. Easy to install and works well with XMEye app. Very good customer service, replacement guaranteed if something goes wrong. Just like now, they said they will replace mine coz something was wrong after more than 6 months. So hopefully they will. And they did. Their WhatsApp customer service is very good.

I got this to record a single IP camera, once you go into the settings and enable it for IP cameras it found it on the network. I would rather it come with a remote instead of the mouse but this was the cheapest IP camera hard drive recorder. Pop in a decent CCTV hard drive and it can work well

(Bought 2 of them)It will do until I get my Swann back from the repair shop, also I bought a 16 channel one for my business, the cameras I have at the location cost £1000s and yet the picture is quite shocking, but like I said they will do as a back up. And before anyone says yes it’s on the correct settings and no the cameras are not at fault 🙄

Nothing to dislike. Just remember to format the disc before recording.

Great bit of kit, easy to set up and when the Software disc was found to be damaged, the tech support guy very quickly sent me a link to download it direct from them.It's really good that it supports different video standards from different cameras at the same time, all with great picture quality. Really impressed that not only can you view the images remotely on your phone, but you can rewind and search for security events
