Is the spring in the back the type with arms that you squeeze to release it from the housing

I spoke to Elco Lighting and they said yes, this has two V springs. One on the top and one on the bottom.

Is the glass "frosted" and can it be removed from the cover?

The glass is frosted and held in place by metal tabs. The tabs can be bent to allow the glass to be removed, and be bent back into place.

This does not fit the opening in my wall, unfortunately. Can I please return it? There is too much space between the edge and the hole in the wall. The quality is fine - it just doesn't fit.

cannot install without damage

Bought 3. Put in first one, glass shattered. Thought it was something I did. Put in second one very carefully. As soon as I let go of the spring glass shattered. Waste of money.

Looks better then my aged 1990s yellowed light covers, but a little too modern. I thought it would update my home but it just looks a little odd, perhaps a glass change & maybe painting the white to match the wall. All in all great cover.
