Great, but not at records.
Phono isn’t the greatest function. Probably get a better needle

Works well and has fun style
Bought this for my father so he could listen to his old records and tapes without an expensive vintage stereo system. It was super easy to set up, and it plays everything perfectly. The sound is good for what you pay for—it won’t blow away any audiophiles, but it will be fine for most normal people. The fake ‘vintage’ styling is a nice touch. It’s just some gold-colored plastic and vinyl sticker wood paneling, but adds to the caché.

Worked one day...then unit would not turn on!
Purchased the unit based on overall decent reviews. Received it and was surprised how compact it was but followed instructions in manual for set-up which is basic. Ran record player with 45, 33, 78 rpm records (surprised that it did not have a different needle for the 78 rpm which is typically 3 mil but it seem to play okay and I did not see damage on the record. Then tried cassette, okay. Then CD, okay. Then radio, okay...decent sound but lacks tone and treble adjustments. Turned the player off for the day. Unplugged it. The next day, at same outlet, plugged it in and the player would not turn on! I called the Boytone number and got nothing but recordings, full mailbox, and when I tried the four extensions they offered all of them came back "not a valid extension." I tried communicating online to no avail. I tried writing to customer support in an email (they said I would get a return reply in 24 hours) and it has been 2 days and no reply. I tried to file the warranty online at the site they provided but the site only provides information but no way to register the product. So, I am very tolerant generally, but this was the first and last time I will ever purchase a Boytone product. And I suggest you do not purchase a Boytone product either. There is no customer service and their phone and website is just another sales pitch.

Good value for what it is.
This is not a high end system. Nor is it priced like one. It is compact and easy to use. I would have rated it higher if not for two things. First, the position and placement of the speakers matters a lot. When they were tucked back on the shelf, it sounded tinny. Once I experimented with there location, I was able to get good sound out of them. Second, the buttons on the tape deck feel flimsy, like they might break if pushed to hard. The whole bank moves when pushing any one button. In a word, it feels cheap. On the positive side, the retro styling looks great. The (real) wood cabinet is much better than the plastic that is more common these days. The bluetooth works well, as does all the other functions. The phono tone arm is reasonably well balanced and the platter is nice and straight.Overall, a good purchase for a small space. If you are looking for top sound or home theater equipment, this is not the system.

Highly recommend this system
Box was delivered undamaged and stereo was well protected. Removed and unwrapped. Plugged in speakers. Paired cell phone with stereo via Bluetooth. Everything works as advertised.Plays cassettes, CDs, records, songs via Bluetooth through cell phone without issue. There is no volume control on remote that comes with the stereo. The volume control is a knob on the stereo itself. However, when streaming songs via Bluetooth through cell phone, you can control the volume with your cell phone. The sound was surprisingly decent from the speakers. Have yet to record to USB. Highly recommend this system.

Decent, but not great
The record player, radio, and Bluetooth functions work fine, however the cassette player simply doesn’t work at all due to a design flaw that prevents you from playing a tape (though fast forward and rewind work for some reason), and the cd player has developed a sound issue that adds a slight background bass sound to every CD.If you’re just in it for the record player and aesthetics, it’s probably fine, but otherwise I’d look somewhere else.

Very good.
Well, they are not Bose or Hamon Kardon, but they are very okey dokey for the price point. Seriously, pretty good for my workshop and listening to old albums, cds and stuff. Very happy.
