Excellent product for sealing potential leaks and actual leaks until you can make a lasting repair. Make sure that you are stretching the tape while applying it, this helps it bond to itself and produce a liquid tite seal. I recommend a minimum of 50% overlap especially if the repair is going to be under pressure. Has actually held up against 65PSI for a couple of days until I could get the correct plumbing parts for a permanent repair. Recommended for all home and RV toolboxes, right next to the good duct tape.

Great stuff, did exactly what I was hoping it would. No matter how we hooked up the PVC pipes under our sinks, there was always a tiny bit of moisture that would leak out, so we had a tiny very slow leak. We finally bought this stuff, wrapped it up, and not a problem since in 2 months. Very easy to work with and molds very well to fill in all crevices/gaps.

This tape made a brilliant final layer to the repair of hot tub pipe seams. It has great adhesion when stretched, can be stretched a lot, and has a good look when finished. The only caveat is make sure you have enough room around your repair so you can stretch and position the tape as desired.

This stuff really works! I have used this for emergency repairs on compressed air hoses, hot water lines and high pressure water lines. Some of those repairs were meant to be temporary just to get equipment back in business but ended up being permanent. Use common sense and stretch it a little, double wrap the ends and go.

Since discovering this brand of silicone sealing tape, it has made it to my must-have list for situations where nothing else will work. For example, tears in vacuum hoses at the hose/ attachment junctures for ash and household vacuum cleaners are permanently repaired, eliminating replacement hose purchases (if you can even find them) which easily recaptures the tape purchase price. Leaking downspout fittings on your gutters? -No problem. Similar to "rescue tape" sold in hardware stores, this tape is thicker AND wider, making it more versatile.

idk how long we have been using this stuff, originally not this brand or superior quality and it still worked. I have bad joints on my bathroom line which I repaired with JB Weld absolutely great stuff if you know what you're doing. There's a learning curve and patience involved and that's where most of y'all go wrong. Hope ya don't mind standing about an hour holding a leaking cast iron pipe until curing has almost occurred. Anywho, back to Proxicast. I have my waste water pipe butted up against a huge I beam (I did not build the house) so the only way to access it is to cut the joints and replace and I'm not doing that. I can slip thin Proxicast to seal bends and joints. This stuff is amazing it can be pulled 300% and then wrapped. Be careful with wrapping because it will stick together without glue. Once you place, pull, overlap this stuff you are done. Some say it's a temp fix, I say if it lasts five years it's a permanent fix. I have Proxicast on piping run the sump pump line on the clear discharge line that split six years ago. It's still leak free. The stuff is amazing and as usual I will regret leaving a positive review because you will buy it and the price will go up. I really should just delete this but I guess this is the price I'll pay for bragging rights. Happy "cheap" plumbing fixes.
