I personally have no problem with this because every time I sit down to watch this film I "sit down and watch this film." This is a really good movie and this disc is the best looking disc in this region. The image is very organic looking and it preserves its filmic look. This film has some stylistic photography with will cause some shots to lack the clarity people are used to nowadays. However, this disc is miles ahead of the recent Mill Creek release which used heavy DNR in there master making the film look muddy and unnatural. This is the disc to buy! Great, touching movie finally in HD.
I really liked this movie when I first saw it and still like to watch it periodically. Great acting and an enjoyable story. Great movie, plot
Great movie,plot,acting,sound tract! I have heard it is "Corney,unlikely,unreal" etc.I think it is a portrayal of what can and does happen in real life. Similar occurrences happened to me and a young man from the same neighborhood (East Los Angeles (only ~thirty-five+yrs later) under-like circumstances--families from Mexico,poor,lacking education.He got a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry,and I an M.D., both of us, from the University of Utah. Another "great,authentic,real life movie in the same genre is "Stand and Deliver" starring Edward James Olmos (he lived 2 houses down from me). There are more but only need to be found

this is one of those lost movies or sleepers as some would say. Sean is of course great in his role which carries the movie. The plot is a little sentimental but who cares.. this is Sean Connery after all.

This Blu Ray is a burned MOD disc with colour photocopied artwork / My blu ray player ( PS3 ) won’t play it But I heard online the PS4 will play it / it is a great movie tho so if you have a PS4 give it a try
