Excellent tool, if a bit expansive, but saves $$$ in wine cost
This thing works very well.Be sure to read directions. I, at first, thought it has to fill the whole empty space, and blew up the little balloon. It only has to squeeze against the walls of the bottle and choke air access out.It is a bit expansive for a bunch of plastic and rubber stuff. But if it takes you several days to finish a single bottle of decent wine, it pays for it self after a few bottles. And they have to use good quality food grade components. And the air valve has to work very well, not to allow much of the deflation.I just started using it after a long time since I bought it first. I leave the open bottle corked overnight, and it usually aerates well by next day. Without this device, and even when corked, the wine starts to decline in quality in just a day or so, and a couple of days it's quality becomes very poor compared to it's best. But with this device the wine keeps on going long enough that I can finish the bottle. Obviously if you can handle a bottle quickly, or have several drinkers in your household you would not need this device. But for the rest, it is a good option.

Works well and is easy to use
I don't drink a bottle of wine in one sitting, unless I have guest, but I still like wine. Sometimes, it takes me a week or two. I tried boxed wine for a while, but got tired of that. I saw this recommended on cooks illustrated so decided to give it a try. This keeps my wine good and its easy to use. The balloon has lasted about 6 months already. It seems to work better than pumping air out of the bottle and its cheaper than gas. Now, I can have a glass of wine in the evening and easily save the rest for later. I like this little gadget so much that I'm buying it as gifts (sometimes with an accompanying bottle of wine).Update - some of the balloons are defective out if the box. It's still a great product and hopefully the company will improve this. More balloons can be ordered off the company website. They are currently 4 for $8.

Three of four balloons deflated overnight; the fourth had a pin prick hole in it.
I LOVED the idea; saw it pitched on Shark Tank. Bought it. The pump comes with one balloon already attached and two extra balloons. The balloon deflated overnight, which means the wine was exposed to air. Tried it again. It deflated again. Contacted the inventor Eric who said to try the extra balloons; he provided some tips, as well. The second balloon had a pin-prick hole in it which was immediately obvious. We tried the third balloon, following Eric's tips. It too deflated overnight.Additionally, removing and installing the balloons are very difficult for those of us with arthritic hands. Eric suggested the use of hot water to make everything more pliable. That did help, but it was still painful work for arthritic hands.I received a new package in the mail, at no cost to me. Unfortunately, the balloon deflated overnight. Not even going to try the two extra balloons. Three balloons out of four deflated and one had a pin-prick. We give up; not gonna continue putting open bottles of wine at risk with the remaining two balloons. Just not worth the effort. It was a great idea but doesn't seem to work. Perhaps they have a QA problem in manufacturing. Customer service is great, but if there is a lack of quality control in the manufacturing process, no amount of customer service will oversome that.

Great concept, magnet for toddlers
Like the concept of not entrapping air with the wine. And it does that well. Easy to use, more durable than other wine stoppers, and cleans easily. I should have realized the grapes would be attractive to my toddler but did not foresee that issue. Oftentimez, I hear thumping and upon entering the kitchen, find he has dragged the wine bottle to the edge of the counter to play with the grapes. Parents of small children: buy at your own risk. Everyone else: best wine stopper I've owned.

Functions Very Well at Keeping Wine Preserved.
I bought this following America's Test Kitchen review of it. I've only used it on 3 bottles so far but it has been performing perfectly. It's an unlikely looking affair but it functions very well. The balloon doesn't deflate completely or easily, making it a bit tedious to remove from the bottle. It seems as if the balloon could be a bit more robust and still function as needed. This would likely allow it to deflate itself more completely. As far as keeping the wine preserved, it works better than any of the other systems I own. Even some better grade wines are being bottled with screw tops these days and the vacuum systems don't fit as snugly as they do in a cork bottle. This device solves that issue, too.I would recommend it but I'll also be watching for version 2.0!

Poor quality. Decent customer service
Updated review. Was contacted by the owner of the company and sent a replacement after I returned the defective product to Amazon: The new air cork is now working well, just as originally described in the amazon listing.I’m very impressed with this replacement product and I like that there is only one piece to keep up with. I feel the customer service is very responsive. My only wish would be that it worked correctly the first time and that I did not have to continually follow up by email to rate it.I would encourage the owner of the company to improve the QC on his production line to avoid this type of interaction in the future and ensure positive reviews can be left. The check valve leaked and I could never inflate the balloons. I was very disappointed as the idea is wonderful.I returned it.

Nice add for the wine lover
Saw this on Shark Tank and we were intrigued enough to get it. unique balloon style cork inflates under the neck of the wine bottle and has held up well and has prevented wine leakage.

Was so disappointed- Purchase from Air Cork website
I have purchased this product several times on Amazon over the past 5 or so years and the last 2 times from this vendor were not great. I loved this product in the past, and was so excited to write a positive review. This last occasion the first balloon burst the first time I tried it and the second one that came with it, well that burst the second time I used it. I thought I would try my luck at the Air cork website. It took a while to get delivered but the original quality is there.

These devices are excellent to preserve a part-bottle of red wine without refrigeration
These devices are excellent to preserve a part-bottle of red wine without refrigeration; and to keep a part-bottle of white while refrigerated. I have purchased 6 or 8 over the past 3 years and been delighted with their performance. After a few months, the balloons must be replaced, due to bursting or leakage; and the squeeze bulb lasts 1-2 years before leaking.

Geniales kleine Ding
Geniales kleine Ding um eine geöffnete Weinflasche tagelang haltbar zu machen.Desweiteren ist Air Cork sehr leicht zu reinigen: Kurz abspülen und gut.

Balloons burst or deflate
First balloon which was attached to the pump burst on first use! It hadn’t even inflated to the point of sealing the standard sized wine bottle yet (maybe 5-7 pumps). I installed the replacement balloon, which worked but would slowly deflate so that by the following day, there was no longer a proper seal. I gave up on this product and ordered Private Preserve wine preservation spray, which seems to work well.
